My vacation in Cancun was wonderful. The only thing that happened that kind of put a damper on things, was that my scooter was taken from the lobby by a random guest while We were out on an excursion. It took 2 days for them to get my scooter back but other than that I really enjoyed everything.

The butlers were phenomenal--thank you Fanny and Enrique! The room was wonderful, loved the beach and the pools too. We liked some of the food, not a fan of a few of the options but we made it through. Our biggest issue was after the trip, not getting our Marriott points. We were told by Marriott that you only get credit if you book through their website but you save a ton booking through PH directly. That's shady and ridiculous. I will think twice before going to any Marriott property again knowing how they treat their customers.

Cancun Family Trip 2025
We had a great time at Plant Hollywood Cancun! The bad reviews that we read before coming were not at all what we experienced. Dorian was a great butler. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We stayed in room 21-201 and the room was amazing. It was a corner room with a jacuzzi tub. The lazy river could have been better taken care of and was lower than it should've been. The beach is stunning! The pools are refreshing! I would definitely recommend Star Class. The food was pretty good but the wait times were pretty long at times. Hibachi was the best! We took a day trip to Isla Mujeres. Would definitely recommend that for sure. Its absolutely beautiful! Overall I would definitely recommend going to this resort.

The Butler service I received with my 2 guys was excellent! They were there for anything and everything I needed. If I was just reviewing them, it would be the highest score. They were more helpful then the group rep we had assigned to us with 38 people. My experience was great overall, but I can't say the same for others in the group. The spa was great - massage in spa and at the beach, hydro-therapy...all excellent (Terri, Fernanda, Natalia). Yoga instructor- Abigail was good as well! Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing and night entertainment was less than stellar. However, there were lots of choices.
- Advisorylease be advised that the local government of Quintana Roo, Mexico, has updated the Environmental Sanitation Tax. Effective immediately, this tax will be charged at $33.94 Mexican pesos per guest per night.
