The restaurants were good but the buffet can improve overall. The drinks were good. At one of the pool bars the scooby doo drink was good. At the bar on the third floor near the japanese restaurant Alexa made some really good drinks.

Perfect Birthday Getaway
We visited in November 2025 for a birthday trip, and everything was great. The food was excellent, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the entertainment was fun. Special shout-out to our agent Marvin. He made the trip extra special, handled all of our dinner reservations, and helped organize excursions. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Highly recommended.

LOVE Costa Rica!!
We were a group of 10 friends, and our stay at Planet Hollywood was amazing. The hotel has the perfect atmosphere to relax and have fun, great pools, delicious food, and friendly staff everywhere. One of the coolest things was seeing monkeys near the hotel, something you don’t get to experience every day. Although we enjoyed spending time at the resort, we also wanted to explore a bit of Costa Rica. We visited the rainforest, did the La Leona Waterfall hike, and tried an unforgettable zipline adventure. During the tours we also had the chance to enjoy traditional Costa Rican food, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the experience. To organize everything and get around, we used nomadtourscr, who made the whole process very easy. Overall, it was the perfect trip, great hotel, great friends, and amazing experiences. Planet Hollywood truly exceeded our expectations. Pura vida!

My experience at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica was unbelievably disappointing. The resort looks beautiful online, but once you’re actually there, you quickly realize that looks don’t mean anything when the service is this horrible. Staff barely acknowledged us. Even when we were standing directly at the counter waiting for help, they would look right through us as if we weren’t even there. And this wasn’t a one-time thing—it happened repeatedly over several days. We stayed in one of the upgraded rooms, assuming we would get at least some level of priority service or attention. That turned out to be completely false. The staff didn’t care if you were in the cheapest room or the most expensive suite—everyone got ignored equally. Every request took way too long, and employees acted like they had no idea what was going on. But nothing compared to what happened at the Mexican restaurant one night, which completely changed my impression from “bad service” to “dangerous resort.” A guest suffered an allergic reaction—clearly in distress. Instead of stepping in, the employees panicked and stood frozen. No one made a call, no one checked on the person, and no one reacted with the urgency you would expect in a situation like that. What made it even more unbelievable was that other guests were the ones who took action. Regular customers—not trained staff—were the ones helping, calming the situation, and trying to get medical attention. Watching the resort employees remain clueless and inactive was honestly alarming. This is not acceptable for any resort, much less one that advertises itself as a high-end experience. Poor service is one thing, but being unprepared for emergencies is a whole different level of negligence. I would not recommend Planet Hollywood Costa Rica to anyone until major improvements are made.
