Aug 12, 2025Birthday Time!
Went for a nice solo getaway trip for my birthday this year, and it was AWESOME! They got with just the name “Bachata” but the staff was friendly, loving and excellent. Great energy and people to make friends with! Activities during the day and nightly shows were perfect! Would only say that maybe more beach activities would be cool, but I am definitely going back!!

I booked a 3 day stay at Playa Bachata. I arrived there around 12pm yes i know check in is at 3pm but personal ride issues we just got there early and either way we were checked in just not given our room key which we where told would be provided at 3pm so in the meantime we where able to explore while we waited by 1pm we ate food at this place was always good by the way. Now come to 3pm i am now in this hurdle of about 80 people theres no direction in line or where to stand, all i need is a key for my room i must of waited an hour standing in line just to be told "my room is not ready" i then speak to someone who is a supervisor and i tell her i arrived early how much longer do i have to wait for my room to " be ready" apparently they never made the arrangements for my room when i arrived early so apart from the hour in line i also waited an extra 40 min after, i would say check in was one of the things i hated the most because its unorganized. Other than that me and my family had an amazing time the beach is beutiful the staff is also very friendly and attentive, they are constantly cleaning, food variety was amazing, im not a drinker but there was a lot of that too lol, the entertainment at night is also great live singing great performers, the kid entertainment is very nicely done in a way that the kids are included i thought that was nice. And just relaxing, which is what i needed as well.

Jul 24, 2025Do not stay here. We arrived and went to our room. Rooms were dated and completely unsanitary. Pillows, sheets and mattress was soiled with god knows what. Complained and was showed another room but it had the same issues. Completely disgusting. Asked to be moved to the sister hotel. Had to pay another $560 to move just to get a clean room. Service from hotel and sunwing was completely unsatisfactory. Was told I received 20% off when I moved so they were basically done. Don’t book this hotel!!

Horrible experience, long lines for food, not enough variety of drinks, room are dated and smells, only good thing is the staffs members and the beach

Pictures are Deceiving
We went as an excursion and were excited to swim in the pool and the ocean. However, when we found the pool, it was literally an overcrowded kiddy pool that was waist deep and extremely small for a resort. The pictures were taken at an angle to show that it is expansive. We ditched our group after lounging at the beach for a bit and went back to town. If you are just looking for a beach experience or your kids want to swim, it might be for you.
