The worst Mexico experience
Terrible experience everything was dirty, no air conditioning in rooms we had to get a new one, minimal elevators that make getting to your room a pain if its far from where the elevators are, average food at best, not worth the time or money at all.

Great staff
Resort is clean and staff are great. Some repairs are needed but overall a great place. We got to eat and use the pool at Riu Vallarta which was a great deal

dont do it , spend the extra money
I am an African American woman and would hate to think that is was treated with such distain. This was my third RIU stay and defiantly the worse. I will never go to this resort again. The water did not work for 1 day in which they sent me a bottle of champagne for inconvenience, every day at this resort I was overlooked and unassisted with anything requested. The food was barley edible at best. it is really just a vacation location for locals and or their families. I complained several times about the treatment of myself and my husband , the staff overlooking you and standing having conversations with other guest while having you wait for 10 to 20 minutes. I was once advised a restaurant was closed while a couple behind me was advised to sit for a table when i made notice to this the manager rushed me in and asked that I sit and wait 40 to 50 minutes after seating the other couple. If they prefer Black People not come to their resort they should just say so. There was 2 other couples with the same issues we formed somewhat of an alliance played cards listed to my speaker and were pretty much forced to find entertainment as there was little to none on the resort.

Great Location, Terrible Room Experience & Unresponsive Management, Not Worth the Risk
We stayed at this all-inclusive resort from June 17 to June 21 and while there were some enjoyable aspects to our trip, the overall experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this resort to others. Pros: The location of the resort is stunning. The layout is thoughtfully designed, making it very easy to move from the lobby to the room, the pool, and directly to the beach. The weather during our stay was perfect. Despite a few tropical storms at night, the days were clear and ideal for enjoying the beach and pool. There is a variety of restaurants on site — Mexican, Italian, Chinese, and a steakhouse. We particularly enjoyed the Mexican, Italian, and Chinese restaurants, where guests could order from a menu or enjoy a buffet. The entertainment team was talented and welcoming. There was something happening every night and the performers really went out of their way to engage the guests. Cons: The biggest issue was with the room conditions and management’s response. We checked into a family suite on Tuesday, June 17, expecting a clean, comfortable space with three beds and two full bathrooms, as advertised and paid for. Upon arrival, we found that the toilets and floors had not been cleaned. I had to clean the toilets myself using Clorox wipes and called the front desk to request someone come clean the floors — which were in poor condition. On the morning of our second day, one of the bathrooms began to smell strongly of cigarette smoke, a major concern as one of our daughters is asthmatic. We immediately contacted the front desk. Two employees came to the room, acknowledged the odor, but failed to document the issue in their system. Over the next two days, the smell worsened. Resort staff attempted to mask it with chemicals rather than address the underlying issue, rendering that bathroom unusable for the rest of our stay. We requested to be moved to another room, but were told none were available. On the day of our departure, the smell was even stronger. When we raised the issue with management during check-out and requested a partial refund or adjustment, we were met with denial and resistance. The front desk refused to even visit the room, citing that there was no record of the issue. Their unwillingness to investigate or acknowledge our complaint was frustrating and unprofessional. While the resort does have beautiful grounds and some quality amenities, the lack of cleanliness, failure to provide the accommodations we paid for, and especially the mishandling of a serious health-related issue are unacceptable. The way the situation was dismissed by staff left a lasting negative impression. Final Verdict: We had high hopes for this stay, but the problems we encountered — especially with our room and the management’s refusal to take responsibility — made this trip unnecessarily stressful. I cannot in good conscience recommend this resort.
