Dec 10, 2024The best resort
This is the best resort I’ve ever been to. It has everything you want and need: delicious food, good drinks, great service. Night life was cool, always had music playing everywhere creating a fun vibe. The weather was perfect, the water was perfect, everything was perfect in Aruba! This place is a bit pricey, however, we realized that you can get any cheap hotel in Aruba and it’s going to be great!

Dec 09, 2024Choose a different Hotel
I would advise picking a different hotel. We stayed here for 4 days and will not be returning. Booked a suite with partial ocean view and ended up on 1st floor with view of construction site and blood stain on the floor. We ended up changing hotel rooms 3 times. Toilets would not flush, sinks leaked all over bathroom. Maintenance came to "fix" but left a nasty mess. Dining - Website states: 4 on site restaurants available... Well not really... The "best" one (steakhouse) was used for a private event. They do not take reservations. We showed up right at dinner start time for the Italian Restaurant and were put on a waiting list and given a pager. The restaurant was'n even half full. We tried the other 2 restaurants and had the same issue. Ended up at mediocore buffet 3 out of 4 nights. When we finally sat down to eat at Steakhouse on the last night. A fire alarm went off for ~30 min and there was a big fight in the kitchen. You could here several people yelling at each other. Gym - Rusty with broken equipment Pool - was alright however had to empty (remove people) pool twice because people puking.

We had 2 ocean view suites for our family of 4 . We were there 5 nights. The cost was $700 per room per night, including food and alcohol. The service was accommodating and mostly good. The service was much better at the neighbors ing RIU Antilles, where we had 3 dinners. The rooms were dated. The sofas were stained from other users. The bed area and bathrooms were kept very clean but everything needed an update. The shower drain was off and there was stained / dark tiles on the top of the shower. The buffet was adequate. There was huge selection of food. However, nothing was warmer than room temperature. People were pretty disgusting with handling the tongs and taking food with their hands and no one stopped them. I had to ask 4 people where the transportation desk was to arrange my included airport transfers before I got a correct answer. The pool and beach were beautiful, it is a lovely all inclusive but work needs to be done to upkeep it. I would give it 3.5 stars at max

Trip to riu
Overall a great stay. Bartenders at the swim up bar were the best. Food was good at the buffet. "Italian " restaurant didn't even have restaurant sauce, spaghetti, or meatballs. It was mostly fish based. I do not like fish "Steak" house had 8 entrees on the menu , of which only 2 were steak. The other 6 were fish. I do not like fish Quality of new york sirloin steak was poor, it had alot of fat on it. Also missing was mashed potatoes, and an actual steak knife. Both bartenders at sports bar were always hiding in the back, and the bar needs air conditioning. Everything else was top notch

No air conditioning
During our stay, we reported that air conditioning was not working properly. The problem was never fixed. Everything else was top notch!
