  Great Trip

  Our girl's trip was fabulous! Check in was smooth and efficient. We booked a family suite (3 ladies) with the 1 king room and 2 queens. We managed well with only 1 bathroom. Maid service was consistent, with the exception of not getting face cloths replaced. Food was very plentiful. Loved the food courts and the steak house. Drinks were always cool and delicious. Wait staff was very friendly attentive and made each meal fun! We are already talking about booking again in the future.

  Very rocky at first, but got better!

  We have stayed at multiple RIUs previously and therefore had high expectations, especially considering this resort had just been renovated. I can't say we had a great start. I requested (via email) a crib for our room months in advance. When we checked in, I asked and the woman confirmed it was in the room. When we got to our room, no crib. It wasn't a huge deal at the moment. However, it became a huge deal when I had to return to the front desk 3 times and also requested in the app numerous times. When I went down the final time to complain, I made it known I wasn't leaving until the crib came. It finally came around 8:30pm. It took 6.5 hours after we checked in for them to bring a crib, and when the woman brought it, she was less than pleasant. When I was getting my daughter ready for bed, I noticed the crib and the sheets they put in it smelled terrible. Unfortunately I couldn't do anything about the crib, but I had brought my own sheet and blanket. Once that was resolved, we were ready to have fun. However, on the second day of our stay, the A/C in our room stopped working. I put in multiple requests in the app. The workers finally arrived at 6pm, spent 5 minutes looking at it, left and never returned. It got to almost 90°F in our room, which is not ideal for anyone, but was making my toddler sick. Again, after complaining 3 times to the front desk, they said they'd send someone else out and if it didnt work they'd move us. The second man was much better, but unfortunately it still didn't work. After complaining a 5th time, they finally moved us to a new villa. They sent someone to help us with our luggage, but he never showed, so we had to drag all of our suitcases, and the crib, down 2 flights of stairs in our villa and up 2 flights of stairs in the new one... not ideal when you are on vacation to relax. Once that was resolved, our experience got much better. Other than those two service related issues, we really enjoyed the property. The rooms and facilities are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. There are so many options for activities and dining that nothing ever felt crowded, and we loved that. In our opinion, the steakhouse was the only good specialty dining. The buffet was good, nothing spectacular. All of the staff here were very friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a good time and would likely try to stay here again in the future.

  Beautiful Huge Resort

  Great 6 day stay at this totally refurbished resort. We got lost a couple of times and unfortunately the workers whom did not speak any English could not help us. The rooms were spacious no musty smell, A/C was working properly. The food was just ok. You won't starve, I would of liked it better if they would have someone making omelets in the breakfast buffet. The service was hit or miss. The waiter at the steakhouse rolled his eyes because we didn't bring our cell phones and asked for a menu. The only specialty restaurant we liked was the Italian. After eating at the steakhouse the first night, I lost my desire to eat any meat the rest of the week. The steak burger tasted like it was cooked on a gas grill and it just tasted like gas to me. My opinion. We tipped and we tipped well and honestly saw no difference in the service we received. Many nice pools at this resort and the beach was nice and breezy the water warm with minimal waves. We were certainly in the minority being from the states. Overall it was a good stay.

  One of the best hotels

  I think this hotel is perfect. Would love to see a little more activities around the pools, maybe a foam party during the day would be nice..
