The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard. A few tweeks but that will come in the next few months as it had only just opened. We travelled with TUI. We highly reccomend the Coral reef snorkelling trip was amazing. Its 1/2 day. The captain and team were so attentive as soon as you got on board. The coral reef information and the enviroment help by TUI is a brilliant hand in hand trip. Alot of information, beautiful fish when snorkelling. The photos they take are sent to you via your email address at NO EXTRA COST!!!! Having fresh coconut water with the rum was amazing!! This was on an excluded part of a beach that no else was on. The floating kitchen food was as good as the hotels!! Only a couple if critsisms about the hotel itself. Smoking on swim up bar needs to be stopped. Dress code needs looking at in the restaurants in the evening. Food was fantastic overall. The mixology cart in the evening in the main lobby near the Daquari bar, did a different cocktail for you to try. This is a very nice idea, so could try different ones every night. We will definately want to come back with some friends.

Happy tripper
I have to say that everything for us was fantastic , the resort , staff , rooms , food . We are now happy that we can tick Dominican off our bucket list but I’m sure we will return 👍👍

Family Vacation
I would highly recommend Newly renovated Riu Palace Bavaro.It’s great for families and couples (they have an adults only pool).The food and the service was exceptional.The grounds are clean and well kept.The only complaint that I have would be mosquitoes, hopefully they can get that issue resolved. We will definitely be returning.

Riu Hotels are the best!
The staff is excellent. The hotel is always clean, and the staff is constantly cleaning. The buffet is pretty good, according to your tastes. Restaurants: La Bhama is a good Italian restaurant, and the steakhouse is excellent! Ambiance! It's a great place to stay. Entertainment was fun! The clientele was international. I recommend you go during the off-season when the kids are in school. The kids were there, having fun and well-behaved. We were in the family area, although we are adults. You couldn't hear anything once you closed the door, especially the music. Understand that this is a Spanish-speaking country! English is not their first language. Show respect and learn little Spanish. It goes a long way!

Geat property. Food was amazing for resort food. Entertainment has some kinks ro work out as the shows were blah My only complaint is guest services and front end people's should be 100% billigual.it was somewhat difficult to communicate overall.
