  Beautiful Riu palace

  I just came back two weeks ago from Riu palace punta cana. The hotel was gorgeous, clean and well maintained, same goes for the rooms. The food was just okay nothing really stood out. Beach was beautiful with the exception of some seaweed which is expected for this time of year. Activities are endless. This resort is perfect for everyone.

  Great surprise with this resort

  Overall, we had a fabulous time at the Riu PalacePunta Cana… A gorgeous well-maintained resort with delicious food in the buffet and liked the pool layouts. Rooms were dated and need some work but I was happy overall.

  Fabulous Vacay!!

  Really enjoyed the Rui Palace! Great! Shows, great environment, beautiful beach, fabulous service with good attitudes. All the amenities you could look for, and who could forgive the RIU party. Last year we stayed at the Riu in Negril Jamaica and it was lovely as well. Great experience, vacation!

  DONT GET SCAMMED BY AMSTAR

  We stayed at the RIU PALACE PUNTA CANA, April 30 th to May 7th. Check in was a breeze, grounds were immaculate, staff very polite and attentive. Pools were clean, hardly any seaweed at the beach , we had a ocean view room on the 3rd floor, well worth it We booked our trip through fun jetvacations, our shuttle service was AMSTAR, we had to meet them the following morning at 9am the day after our check in to get our departure time for our flight home. AMSTAR talked us into a 1/2 shuttle ride to town to go shopping, he said all souvenirs were authentic and cheaper than on the resort, when we were at the check out line they asked us our resort name and room number that they wrote on the receipt they kept, 2 hours of shopping and another 1/2 hour shuttle ride back to the resort, we found a bunch of stores on the resort called CALLE COLONIAL, souvenirs were authentic there and cheaper, we talked to a shop owner and he said AMSTAR gets a commission from the off site shopping store, I feel AMSTAR scammed us , resort name and room number on a receipt means a commission ANYHOW THE SHOPS CALLE COLONIAL ARE BY THE BIG POOL AND INBETWEEN THE RIU PALACE AND THE RIU BAMBU RESORT, enjoy your vacation

  Good the second time around

  First time coming back to a resort for a second time and RIU always does it right. I came to Riu palace for a bachelors back in 2016 and it was awesome. 9 years later to be back here, it was just as great. Although I was disappointed that the long pool that led up to swim up bar was changed into 2 separate pools we still made the best of it. The staff were all friendly from the check-in, all the way to the check out. There were lots of good activities and of course the beach was just a few feet away from the pools. The restaurants were good, we enjoyed the buffet for the most part but the bars were very good. The rooms were spacious and decent but I think the AC ventilation needs some work because we did have a slight weird smell at times. Overall great to have been back at this resort and might check it out again.
