Vacation
Overall the hotel is just “ok”. The good: near the marina/Medano Beach, did not feel unsafe at the resort, nice/hardworking staff, large resort, large pool and variety of events. I was a bit worried due to a scary review of someone getting their stuff stolen from the room. That did not happen to us. Not so good… There is “ I think”one building (villa) that has an elevator. The staff had to carry our luggage to the second floor. I didn’t mind the stairs (being that i exercise daily) but it was hard for my husband. The buffet is “typical” but what I noticed was a staff member handling food (example quesadillas) without wearing gloves while also touching “other things/objects” (not food) while working. The buffet food itself was not great (lack of flavor) but also can’t say it was terrible. They do have an omelette station and a variety of food if I didn’t like what I had picked. We didn’t get a chance of to try the sit down restaurants due no available seats. I tried the menudo, chilaquiles, pizza, tacos and flavor was “meh”. I have had chilaquiles, which tend to get soggy, at another buffet resort that tasted way better (also a bit soggy). The resort lists the busy times but we missed the window each time. The cocktails offered by the resort did not taste good (has a “fake sugar” taste) which was disappointing, so we stuck with beer. I would have given the resort a higher review if the buffet food and cocktails were of better quality. I believe that there would be less food/drink waste if they improved the flavor of the food. They need elevators in all the villas. I don’t feel that b/c it is an all inclusive resort, that they are allowed to serve food or drinks that do not taste good. Some people save all there money for a trip and the experience should be the BEST it can be. Overall I feel like it’s a typical resort that is fine if your on a budget and that’s what I would say if someone ask me if I would recommend RUI Santa Fe Los Cabos. They could use a few improvements for a better experience in my opinion.

Lovely large resort that both couples and families would enjoy.
Lovely resort with a number of pools, several adults only ones which was great to get away from rugrats! Views from the pool bars were just amazing. Clean rooms and a good selection of restaurants. Would have been nice if there were more a la carte restaurants but the buffet ones were good anyhow. Entertainment is spot on, great for couples and families. It's a big resort so lots of walking which we didnt mind at all.

Best holiday yet!
Had the best time here! Was worried about the ‘party’ side of it as we hadn’t done our research good enough before. But the day and night parties are contained in its own area. From the sunbathing in the many pools to the nightly entertainment, it was all fab! The rooms were cleaned everyday (if you want it) and the staff in the restaurants were absolute grafters. Waiting on your every need! Couldn’t fault our stay at all! Thankyou Riu Santa Fe!
