All the comments about walking up so many stairs and no access to the beach due to rough waves were right on point. Surprisingly, did not see any fights due to drunkenness as some comments appeared. Did see a drunk couple that was completely in the wrong resort trying to get back to their actual hotel next door. Food options were great and we enjoyed the steak (get in line an hr early to ensure a table) as well as Kulinarium. Bartenders are amazing and they are there to quickly do their work (never pressured to tip, but still did). The transportation to/from airport (value of $40 each trip) included within reservation certainly helped ease stress and made family feel safe. Note that drinks in room are not automatically re-filled and you need to call each day for a re-fill. We’re making plans to return with additional family members!!!

Great Stay at Riu Santa Fe
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Riu Santa Fe. The resort has everything you would need and has a great mix of party and family amenities. The beach and pool areas are top notch. While it is not safe on most days to swim in the ocean, the massive waves and the views are mesmerizing. I would recomment Riu Santa Fe for couples or groups of friends who want a more vibrant, busy and party-centric resort. The pool parties in particular were a highlight!

great value vacation great for kids
I have been to several all inclusive resorts in Cabo and this one definitely has its perks. This was the first time for me traveling with kids and I found that it was somewhat kid friendly. When we arrived at our room we were met with a pack and play without us requesting it so that was Great! The rooms were roomy and spacious for a family of 4. The beds were super uncomfotable aThe water pressure on the showers was terrible and had a handheld shower that I did not appreciate. I wish that we would have had more toiletry amenities offered. The towels quality were terrible. I appreciated that the room fridge had large bottles of water, they were very useful in that humid weather. Included is beer and sodas as well. The water park was great! While I did not have time to try the slides, they looked like a lot of fun. The toddler water park was also decent and perfect for young kids. The pool area was super busy and rowdy to be honest. There were a lot of drunk college kids and it was too loud and a party zone for us. The restaurants were great! This is the first buffet style resort that has actually really good authentic mexican food. I was very impressed. The other restaurants are also buffet style which i did not like but could see the function of it. Did not get a chance to try to steakhouse since it was always busy. The taco bar however, was also 100% authentic. While I did not frequent a lot of the bars, when i did they really lacked in their customer service. Several times I waited at the bar as they ignored me and helped others without even acknowledging my presence. The transportation provided by the hotel from the airport to the resort was also great. We traveled with a 1 year old and they made sure to accommodate us with other travelers. Prior to the trip I tried communicating with the transportation company to inquire if they carried car seats. It was extremely difficult to get a hold of them and when I finally did , I got conflicting information. Finally it was settled that they did not offer car seats. Once we arrived they were easy to find and same for the way back. The hotel has a representative daily there where you can confirm your pick up time the day before. There is access to the beach from the hotel however, in order to get there you have to go through the adults only RIU and that was also super rowdy and a "party zone" so if you don't mind that. We did not get access to the other RIU hotels or restaurants which was unfortunate.

BAng for your buck
You get what you pay for, and to each their own on their expectations and how fancy the food and drinks are. Our family enjoyed everything about the service, rooms and amenities. We were in the Party rooms and spent time in the infinity bar pools. Expect lower end booze, buffet style and quality food and a younger crowd. It is a budget resort and package and we were fully satisfied with our trip and experience. Parents 40's and kids were 18 & 19. We would go back again for sure.
