  Some issues but great service from beach staff!

  Although we had a number of issues with the Diamond Club product, our rooms and last minute restaurant closures, the one thing i want to shout about here is the FANTASTIC service from Diana and Anya (beach butlers). They both took the time to ensure we always had everything we needed and more! They both have such a natural way with people and were definitely the highlight of our stay - nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you both for looking after us so well!

  Poor accommodations

  My butler Coniah was great. He was attentive and friendly. My accommodations however were subpar. I had a swim out room in the diamond club. The pool was missing several times. The room smelled of mildew and was very strong. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. The toilet was not sealed down and every time you sat on it, it would move. The room was not stocked daily with snacks. On a few occasions the room door would not lock once closed from the outside, therefore leaving my belongings unsecured. There room next door had a leaked that created a huge puddle in my room in front of the closet. There appeared to be black mold on the wall. The restaurants did not have very many vegan options. I was very unsatisfied with my stay at this property and would not return. The beach was the best part of this resort.

  Won’t Go Back

  Arrival day 1 check-in was a mess. Even with written documents that we presented to show the types of rooms we had booked, the hotel was starting from scratch to try to accommodate our party. We waited from 12:30pm to 4:30 pm to get our rooms. We got several Supervisors involved but they were disorganized, the front desk staff was inexperienced and could not give us a straight answer about when we would get our rooms. I tipped 3 people including the Supervisor to see if it would help, to no avail. It was horrible, lots of people upset! Day 2 we go to dine at one of the a la carte restaurants. We had made reservations through Sandra Jorgensen a food and beverage manager. We had our confirmation document. The restaurant said they didn’t have our reservation and couldn’t accommodate us. Fortunately we had the written confirmation e-mail. They agreed to take us once we showed the e-mail. The same thing happened at every restaurant we went to during our stay. Fortunately with our written confirmation we were able to dine throughout our stay. Still even with the written confirmation they would get the reservation time wrong. It was a nightmare! The food in all the restaurants was average at best. Poor quality, limited options and always over cooked. In summary, this hotel is a 2.5/3.0 stars at best. Lots of flies in your food if you seat outside and even inside at the buffet they keep the doors open. The rooms are run down need renovating. Our terrace door didn’t lock and the screen door was full of holes and rusty. We didn’t use the terrace. I’m a positive note, we didn’t enjoyed the pool and the beach. We did kayaking and jet skies. Kayaking is included but motorized water sports you have to pay. It’s totally negotiable don’t pay the rate they ask. We got the jet skies for $50 US instead of $70 US which is what they were asking. The Caribbean was warm and clean no algae or rocks. Beautiful blue water. The swim up bar was nice. I’ll like to recognize the best bartender at the swim up bar his name is Chester. Very nice! Makes exceptions. Tipping the staff a few bucks goes a long way for better service. For the most part staff was nice, there were some exceptions. If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member they don’t give u any special treatment, there isn’t a MB desk for checking in or out. I heard from the locals that Royalton Chic is better but is adults only. Overall we made the best of it.

  Sisters September Holiday

  We stayed at the Royalton Antigua. It was my fourth stay and my sister's first. The hotel was still as fabulous as when I first went in 2019. I would recommend the upgrade to Diamond Club. We had a fabulous butler called Dymond. She was brilliant. Extremely helpful and very friendly and very attentive. She was so kind. We will never forget the swan towels in our room. We laughed so much. It was such an unexpected 'treat' Casford in the cabana and upper sun lounge area was so lovely. He was super friendly and we had good chats and lots af laughter. Marva one of our servers in Gourmet Marche was also lovely, helpful and friendly when we came in for breakfast. The food options are plentiful with a mix of European and West Indian food. We were certainly spoilt for choice. The drinks options are plentiful too. No matter what you want, they'll have it. The rooms were of a good size and there was a desk area where we could do some work! The bathroom shower excellent. The ladies in the spa were so welcoming. It was lovely to use the facilities. My sister loved the gym facilities. She'd be there at 6am! Fabulous holiday. We cannot wait to return with our significant others.

  Wedding party of a lifetime!!!

  We are the groom's parents of the Jenkins/Gant wedding party and we would like to thank the entire staff for a memorable time! And especially to our room attendant Celina and her entire staff! As well as our Butlers Brandon and Sebrina as well as Ms. Della!!! We stayed in room 11906 and are Steven and Mercy Jenkins. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! And God Bless You All!!! The only thing we would like to see is that you may add Guinness Beer to make it available to the guests here😁😁😁!
