  Best All Inclusive Experience

  My experience at Royalton chic was absolutely fantastic! Between the gorgeous hotel and surrounding beaches, the delicious food, and the amazing staff, my stay was perfect. Specifically, Arturo made our stay forever memorable! :)

  Arturo and Marisol

  Our family had an amazing time at Royalton Chic! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are even more amazing! A special shout out to Jamie in the elements buffet. Arturo and Marisol were our butlers and made our time even better on the resort! They handled everything we didn’t want to, like our reservations, and any issues or questions we had. Marisol ensured there was a birthday surprise for my brother in the room which we really appreciated. Arturo went above and beyond in his kindness. My brother lost his glasses in the water on an excursion and Arturo helped us find a place that could provide us with contacts for him and ensured they were able to access the hotel to get to us. We had a great time with him on new years as well. Arturo is truly a special person. If only we could pack Arturo up and take him home to Canada and every family vacation we go on! If you’re lucky enough to get Arturo as your butler you’ve hit the jackpot for butlers! We already miss him! The only issues we had with our stay was the amount of seating around the pool and beach and the elevators.

  Dissapointed. Won't miss the weird smells !!!

  This is a lengthy review- so grab a coffee!!!! Our first trip to Cancun. First holiday in almost 2 years so was really excited for the break. Booked this hotel after watching a lot of you tube videos but wished I had seen Trip advisor reviews before booking. Might have changed my mind and gone somewhere else. 1st Positives. Hotel looks stunning, sleek design and very contemporary. Beach is amazing, Sand so soft and no seaweed. Waves are fierce though. Staff are very good friendly and look after you. Beds are very comfortable ( my most biggest fear on holiday- having a bad bed and not sleeping all week) Close to airport Entertainment was good. They make a lot of effort there. Things I was really disappointed by- there are a fair few. 1) Room when arrived was freezing cold due to aircon being on all day preparing for our arrival. Guess it must have been a hot day but after a 24 hour day of travel, I had to hairdryer the bed as it almost felt damp and wet due to the aircon. couldn't get undressed as so cold. When aircon was on briefly whilst getting ready in the evenings - smelt ! Big air fan above bed has turbo speed or nothing. Great if you like sleeping in a wind tunnel. otherwise be prepared to sweat 2)The smells in the room! Our room smelt interesting. We had eggy sulphur shower which didn't look aesthetically pleasing with cracked tiles and brown stains on the floor. Water in shower and in taps smelt and tasted awful. Made me gag brushing my teeth. My hair never smelt fresh. My husband used bottled water to brush his teeth. I was worried I might get ill but lucky I didn't. Water even ran brown when washing my hands once. I was like eww! I took my own pillow due to neck issues, Wished I hadn't as that now smells like the room, Musty and just really stale. I've tried airing it, Febreezing it and even popped in for a tumble to try and get rid of the smell. I can't. Guess it will fade with time. (If you have any unworn clothes you aren't planning to wash. you'll have to. They will smell!!!) The 11th floor corridor if you are on the left hand side coming from the lift - smells like a Barbeque. Think the vents from the restaurants may be on that side. I hated that smell when you walk out into corridor. The further you go to the end the worse the smell is. We were the second from last room! The hotel itself has tired areas which need a bit of TLC in my opinion - Not luxury 5 star I have experienced before. What 5 star hotel doesn't supply a spoon in the room for your coffee, I only discovered a small bag of coffee complimentary things that had a small plastic stick to stir your coffee. It looks the same as the coffee bag and hidden underneath the coffee bags so make sure you look- I didn't see the difference as they look the same as coffee bag. Very poor in my opinion. 3 star hotels give out stirrers. Come on. 3) Drinks tasted like mould. I asked for a lot of sprite as I don't drink much alcohol in the day really. each time it came it tasted the same. Mouldy. Is it the tubes from the dispenser machine? left them a lot. Only by disguising it with alcohol was it any better. 4) Food is just ok. I haven't gained too much weight as didn't really eat much. Nothing really fabulous . Desserts were not that nice and situated opposite a big air vent which again the smoky smell came out from , so just fresh ( well not really fresh) out the shower your hair immediately smells like cooking. The dessert we tried tasted like the vent smell. They did go all out for new years eve decoration though in the restaurant. I give them 10/10 for that effort We enjoyed the Insomnia café and the ice cream, Better than the desserts! The girls in there work very hard and often I feel people are a bit rude to them. WELL DONE GIRLS !!! you are awesome 5) Not enough beds around pool or beach. If you want to save a space at either you will need to be down early! 6) Be prepared to eat in the buffet most nights. Can be tricky getting table especially at Hunters, we didn't manage to eat there, Chopsticks was best out of that and Vespa that we visited. My main meal at Vespa inedible. The waiter offered another option but I decided to decline. My husband tried my meatballs. he said he couldn't have eaten that either. His carbonara was ok though. Only about 1 x bit of bacon mind. You can only book one restaurant per day. 7) If you are lagoon side- the view in the distance is lovely, but you will have a lovely view of the staff carpark and these 2 giant industrial fans, and the dual carriageway. 8) Annoying feedback forms. We had about 2 days where we weren't pestered at dinner or breakfast to fill out forms and give reviews. It could have been a random thing and it was just that week they were doing stats, but it did become a bit annoying. 9) Not that much option for seating by the pool area. I am not a bit lounger fan and would be nice to be able to sit somewhere where you can still see the pool, we sat on the terraced up the steps and felt like we were out the way and missing any fun from the pool. I kept getting up and down to watch. Overall I would say this hotel needs to be checked out for the smells in the room and the bad water. It was so nice to come home and wash in NON smelly water!! I wouldn't stay here again. I probably won't return to Cancun now as been and seen it but if you are planning to go to Royalton Chic- be prepared- there are flaws!!!!

  A lovey hotel and played games with Alexander which was an amazing experience. The food, drinks and restaurants were amazing

  Staff here is exceptional !

  Pricey. Room was nice, view was great! Food just ok, was difficult to get reservations but we did meet Sergio at Steak house who was extremely friendly and helpful, unfortunately the food there was the worst on property, unless you like a 1/4" thick piece of shoe leather. We ate more at the buffett than anything and had Salvador wait on us mostly and he was exceptional!! . Pool is small and a bit noisy but nice, beach was nice and we had Alexa wait on us the whole week and she was absolutely fantastic!! Honestly, the whole staff here was extremely kind and helpful! 2 Notes - i know this is "all inclusive", but please, don't be cheap, tip the staff!! They work very hard and deserve it ! Also, the resort should paint all steps in and out of lobby, bathrooms, etc... with a yellow stripe to catch your attention !! My wife tripped and fell on step from beach into lobby and bruised her wrist and knee badly on first day there. I seen several people trip (not fall) on that and by pool bathroom also.
