I went with my fiancé on our honeymoon. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating the entire time. Some staff to look for at the resort Spicy Luis made everyday more fun, Sweet Luis (Bartender) and Luis Lopez made the best beverages and Nedel was always on point as well.

Jun 25, 2025Relaxing Stay!
We stayed at this resort in October for a couple of days and did not get to enjoy all the amenities, so we decided to come back this April 2025 to the Secrets Riviera Cancun for a full week. The service and food was great! Loved the Italian restaurant and Hibachi experience. Luis at the Preferred lounge made before and after dinner drinks special. Luis at the Secrets Pool was also great keeping everyone engaged in activities if they so choose. The Spa was clean and facilities were simple. Not as luxurious as others in Mexico. However, Hydrotherapy and Massage itself was GREAT! I didn't like the fact that if you had less than an 80 minute massage, hydrotherapy was extra. That was a first for me. If you are looking for a good time and great music and drinks at the pool, then the Breathless side and XHale pools are themed and give you that if you are in the mood. Otherwise you can sit back on the Bali bed (which is only allowed once a week) at the more serene Secrets pool. Now as for the beach. I am a total beach lover and this was not the resort for that (my partner however, loves the pool!) Maroma beach or Playa Mujeres would be more for people who are looking for a Mexico beach vacation. Lastly, the rooms. We got the Master Oceanview Suite. Last time we had an OceanFront room, which I liked a little better, but the rooms were spacious and the showers and closet space large. Slight musty smell, but that is common in a lot of these resorts. My one main negative feedback is the APP doesn't always work (especially the room service) and I ordered coffee on the Ipad and didn't get it. If you don't ask them to clean and turn down you will not necessarily get it everyday, especially if you have the do not disturb on in the morning. Hey, we are on vacation! So if we miss the window, you manually have to request the clean. Otherwise, this was a relaxing resort, much needed after a cold winter.

The resort is smaller. You are greeted by being told about a free massage to check out their sister resort for 90 minutes. It was 3 hours and they are selling a club program with pushy people. The elevators and shop smelled horrible. There’s only one way over priced shop. The airport is cheaper. The buffet was less than desirable. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Poor selection of food. Same things everyday. The French and Italian restaurants were very good for dinner. The beach is awful: Tons of seaweed so you can’t even enjoy it or go in the water. The Spa is nice and relaxing for facials and regular massages. The hydro massage isn’t worth it. The liquor is cheap. Hard to get mid or top shelf liquor for your drinks. For all the 5 star secrets it was a 2 at best.

Amazing time!
We just returned and can’t wait to go back! The resort was beautiful and the secrets side was a perfect getaway for our Anniversary! The staff were all amazing and I wish I could remember everyone’s names so I could recognize them all! Spicy Luiz made everyone feel welcomed and entertained! Luis in the preferred club is an amazing bartender and went above a beyond making us feel special on our Anniversary with a special drink and started my addiction to Carajillo ♥️. Thank you all!!!!
