    Perfect cruise jump off point

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Perfect location to visit Old Town San Juan and then transition to or from a cruise. One cruise terminal is literally directly across the street. The Pan Am terminal is only 2 miles away. The hotel is a nice size with only 9 floors and has been newly renovated. I was upgraded to a mini suite which had a separate seating area. Room was newly appointed…TVs, lighting, furniture, bathroom, etc. US TV channels. Restaurant was good for breakfast. Did not have dinner onsite. Service was on point. The work out area had all new equipment… weight machines, free weights, treadmills, etc. All VERY clean. Water station in workout room. Small pool and hot tub on 9th floor was nice with a great view. Area was safe and clean. The hotel has a Walgreens attached on the 1st floor….very convenient with all cruise necessities to include beer, wine and liquor. I used Bonvoy points to book…reasonable point rate. All in all, an excellent value.

    Fantastic stay @ Hotel Rumbao!

    As a Marriott Elite & Platinum member I was very impressed by the excellent customer service given to me by Front desk supervisor Juan Pimentel & guest service team member Sarah @ Hotel Rumbao. Upon our arrival we were upgraded to a jr suite & other guests perks. We really appreciated the excellent hospitality service & definitely will stay at this lovely hotel on our next visit to San Juan , PR.

    Excellent hotel

    The hotel was excellent - very nice room and great location. Service was also terrific! Especially Shalie at the front desk and Genesis at the Kueros Bar and Kitchen!

    Hotel Rumbao

    Everything about this Hotel was absolutely on point! The room, service, restaurant, reception and bellman was extraordinary. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Rumbao when visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico.

    Location and staff, generally good renovation

    Visited for the first time following the rebrand and remodel. Rooms have really improved, the air conditioning has not. But the staff are welcoming and awesome… and it’s hard to beat the location if you want to enjoy Old San Juan (or you need to be close to the cruise port). Used nightly upgrade awards for a corner suite that was huge and comfortable.
