Once and finally got there… the staff made my vacation worth … the staff is super friendly and make you feel like home, Luis the guy I charge of the activities not only cares about the activities but actually make you get the fun is mean to be ! Great Job Luis ! Great food also !

Oct 14, 2024Honeymoon Trip, Wonderful Staff and Beautiful Resort!
My husband and I chose to spend our honeymoon at the Solmar Resort after a recommendation by my parents who had celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary there. We have previously stayed at resorts including the Rui Santa Fe, Breathless, and the Rose, however, staying at the Solmar was a more intimate side of Cabo that we have never experienced before which was perfect for our honeymoon occasion. From the start of our stay to the very end, we were in awe of every amenity the resort had to offer. The resort is so intimate, peaceful, and romantic as it sits on the Pacific side, away from the Marina, however, is only a short 15 minute walk to all the night life, public beaches, and shopping. The rooms had an authentic Mexican design and were extremely clean thanks to our wonderful maid, Diana, who made sure we had extra waters and towels every day. The food at the Tejaban was outstanding. My husband is a former chef at a country club and raved over the arrachera dish for dinner, while I ordered the seafood pizza almost everyday for lunch. The service and entire wait staff tended to our every desire. Isai was extremely knowledgeable on the ingredients and flavors of the dishes and always had the best recommendations, including the crab enchiladas and tres leches cake. Jorge had excellent customer service skills and made us a superb Mexican coffee on our last night in Cabo. The pool staff during the day was fantastic also. Tavi greeted us everyday with a smile and could make one delicious mojito. We enjoyed getting to know Arturo who always made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you to everyone who worked the breakfast shift; our coffee mugs were never empty and saying good morning to everyone was a great way to start our day. Could not compliment the staff at the Solmar enough. They went above and beyond to guarantee we had a wonderful stay. My husband and I felt as though we had made new friends during our stay and cannot recommend this beautiful resort enough. It truly is a hidden Cabo gem and we cannot wait to return.

Amazing time!
Amazing experience! All staff were very attentive and kind. Was very quiet but we appreciated we felt like we had the pool to ourselves. Alexis and Gerardo around the pool were 10/10! The food was amazing and drinks were just the right amount of strong but still tasty

Great Location, Great Food, Amazing Staff!
This resort was a last minute booking for us. we have never been to Cabo San Lucas before therefore wanted a place that was close to the hub of activity (i.e., the Marina). This location was a 7 minute walk from the Marina and downtown Cabo. The resort itself is older (I heard they are tearing it down and replacing it with a new verion to match the Grand Solmar next door). Our only surprise was that we couldn't get into the water on this side of Cabo (Pacific Ocean) - the riptides and undertow is no joke. We spent most days at the pool being pampered by the friendly bar-tender, who was always suggesting drinks and making them with fun bird sounds and a big smile. The servers in the restaurant were all friendly and helpful. Jorge was especially nice. He saw us downtown and called out to us by name, which was unexpected. There was one person however who made our experience special. Arturo is a true professional. He knows how to engage with everyone, anticipates our needs, and even made suggestions when we weren't certain what we could do or not do as first timers. Arturo was responsive, we never found ourselves looking for someone to get us a drink, a meal, or a towel. By the end of the trip we felt like we made a friend. It is worth noting, he was the only server at the pool and while the hotel was not busy, there were enough people to keep him busy most of the day. He managed the entire area with ease. Super dated but clean. Nice people. Good prices to stay. It will be torn down soon and should be BUT it is clean and a cheap way to extend a stay at grand Solmar. Have done that to save in airfare (stay an extra day or so at Solmar bc adding the hotel for one night more than makes up for the flight difference. You cannot use amenities at Grand Solmar though so please note that.
