Don't waste your money!
This is the "Old" Solmar....not the new one next door. It needs a complete overhaul....hasn't been updated since the 80's. No tv in the living area, room was old, original cabinets, outdated 2 burner cooktop, original fixtures in the bathrooms, no lamps at all, no alarm clock. 1 bedroom suite had 1 fork, 2 tablespoons, 2 butter knives, 3 plates, plenty if glasses and cups. Very limited cookware or cooking utensils. Living room sofa was dirty (pull out was disgusting). Floor was dirty. Pool lounge chair covers are dirty 🤮. Restaurant and bar was good, but seemed priced too high. Wait staff was good. Bell staff was great, on duty manager was no help, and front desk was fair. Don't waste your money....stay at Playa Grande, it's so much better, worth every penny.

Best stay in Cabo
It’s always an amazing experience. From the minute we pull up and are greeted by Marco and Juan, the Bellmen, the front desk is always so accommodating. The room service is top-notch. Those who stand out on a daily basis, and go above and beyond, are: Gerardo and Arturo at the pool. At the restaurant, we always have a beyond-amazing experience with Susi, Jose Luis (and his amazing homemade salsa- his mother’s recipe), Salvador, Manny and the one and only Damien. We always look forward to our trips to Solmar – our return “home.” The views and the food are always, always amazing and the service never lets us down. We are looking forward to our next trip in September. We can’t wait to come back. We have been coming here for more than 10 years and we would never consider going anywhere else.

Great experience at the solmar resort
Jennifer's yoga on the beach was so peaceful and awesome. We just loved her beautiful energy. We've been to alot of different resorts. Jennifer was top notch with the energy and her purity! Isia, was our waiter for dinner and also had a shift at the pool. He was so awesome to us very attentive, constantly moving our umbrellas bringing us ice water and just overall fun personality. Really enjoyed his company all week. Also mt solmar hikes were awesome every morning at 8am right next door to resort. Overall the resort was clean and peaceful. The food is all cooked from scratch, no lame buffets. Very nice relaxing week overall. Will definitely come back. Might buy a timeshare at grand solmar next time we come.

Perfect for a Bachelorette Trip!
Went for a Bachelorette trip! Staff was so sweet and helpful. The food was amazing and the drinks were so good. We never had a problem getting a seat at any of the restaurants. The sushi was also a big hit. The rooms were clean and looked exactly how they are pictured.

Great experience!
Great clean rooms, very friendly staff. The staff at Tejaban for breakfast knocked it out of the park. Jennifer did an outstanding job all week with activities!! Highly recommend. Very short walk to the marina and all its fun. Very clean resort. All the restaurants had great food. We liked having a small store on site as well.
