    Great trip

What a great 5 night vacation. Been here numerous times in the past and this trip was flawless. The resort is in great shape, great room with ice cold AC, and great service. Cheryl at the pool bar is top notch, great personality and makes a great drink. Kim and Jennifer at Azul consistently provided great service. Our favorite, Ranjeet, is always so welcoming and eager to assist. What a great ambassador for the hotel. Can’t wait to come back!

    5 star Experience

We’ve been to several resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico and this one is at or near the top. Right on Maho beach, couldn’t have asked for anything more. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the penthouse suite for free, unreal room. Our butler Ranjeet was absolutely incredible. Any request we had was fulfilled quickly, made great suggestions on food, and other things that he could do to make the experience better. Exceeded all expectations and would come back in a heartbeat.

    Wonderful

Just returned from a wonderful week at Ocean Point. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had a great ocean view. The food was very good. Portifino is a gem built into the rock with a waterfall and such a great idea that Azul changes their lunch and dinner menus every day. Such great views from all of the restaurants and the Sunset Lounge. We found the staff pleasant and engaging especially the team working at Azul (Sidia, Emmanuela, Dianica, Jennifer, Rihanna, Schneider & Lina). Our Housekeeper Faneza was lovely and a shout out to whoever filled our ice bucket on many occasion - so thoughtful. We never had to fight for lounge chairs at any of the pools. Loved The Edge Pool. If you are a beach enthusiast- the beach is not overly expansive however the Resort has done a good job of providing a beach like feel just above the beach access. If you are a plane enthusiast- this is the place for you! But if you aren’t, I found that after the first few hours the noise didn’t interfere. Great sound proofing in the rooms. Earliest plans leave at 7 (smaller planes) and the last plane arrives between 8-830). I really enjoyed the quiet, tropical, peaceful atmosphere.

Fantastic experience on 'The Friendly Island'

We loved the resort and island and are already planning a return visit. The resort was not too big or small and provided great restaurant, bar, and pool options. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful! Jonathan, AKA Smiley, was fantastic and super responsive to any and all asks.

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This place advertises as a 5 star resort which is laughable. It’s literally a 2.5 star motel. It’s a shame bc st Martin has so many great small hotels that if you came here and stayed you would think this island sucks buts it’s actually awesome. The hotel itself is OLD and falling apart. It is NOTHING like the pictures. The pictures must be at least 10-15 years old. Newsflash I looked a lot different 10-15 years ago as well. The lobby doesn’t even have AC. I get dropped off by a cab and the road to Ocean Pointe is gated off (the so called nice part) I get out of the cab and go to security she looks me up in the paperwork and then just says go that way. Doesn’t explain what that means at all. I wound up having to walk about another 10 mins carrying 5 bags for me and my fiance. What 5 star or even 4 star resort doesn’t allow you to be dropped off in front of the hotel?? On to the hotel- it’s Dirty, dingy and cheap. It does not have one single redeeming quality. The food is horrible even at their so called “best restaurant” azul. The placemats were dirty and had food chunks in them. The napkins they gave you were the same. The staff came to take your order with shirts that looked like they had been word for a week straight with all sorts of stains on them. I ordered BOTTLED water at and was told they didn’t have any. A Caribbean island “5 star” resort doesn’t have bottled water at dinner? That’s laughable. I then ordered a decaf espresso and was told they didn’t have any. A 5 star resort doesn’t have decaf coffee for the espresso machine? Really? Now onto the rooms my sheets had HAIR in them and what appeared to be urine or intercourse stains. The wall next to the bed also had what looked dried semen on the walls. The floor was caked in grime and dirt. I wore sandals the entire time I was in there because walking around barefoot seemed disgusting. This was literally the WORST resort I have ever stayed in. Their pool had algae on the bottom of it. Their beach is a shared public beach that to access you need to walk down a little ramp again UNKEMPT and UNPRESENTABLE. This resort is complete trash. It was so empty when I was there. Anyway I stayed right around 24 hours when I told the hotel all these items and explained to them I would like to leave the resort and go elsewhere. They refused to refund me my remaining days stating that I booked a “nonrefundable” trip. Yes this is true I also thought I was booking a clean room and a 5 star resort. It was none of that. I left anyway and one of their managers agreed that if I didn’t want to stay there I should be refunded my remaining days. This person gave me hope that someone here had some decency. Unfortunately a week later they told me that again it was unrefundable so they refused to refund me the 6 days and nights I didn’t stay there. Please if you’re going to st Martin DO NOT stay at this hell hole. That’s exactly what it is. It’s dirty, the beach sucks, the food is horrible, and they are just looking to take your money. If you’re going to st Martin stay at the Morgan, orient beach club, grand case beach club or an Airbnb. Rent a car and check out all the restaurants. The island has AMAZING food just NONE at this 2 star motel. Avoid at all costs.
