Oct 10, 2026A Great Time Had By All
Great time had by our family. We came for the pool and the beach and it didn’t disappoint. The pool atmosphere is great. Pedro and Shanique were the highlights of the staff. Pedro kept towels on deck and always created us with a smile and positive energy. Shanique was our poolside waitress and she was on point the entire time. Anytime we needed anything, she was there with that same positive energy. We are DEFINITELY coming back and I recommend you come through if you want a chill, family friendly vibe at the pool and at the beach.

Pros The employees are friendly. The location to the beach is phenomenal. Restaurant choices are plentiful. I think our sheets are clean. Cons The furniture is dented. There is toothpaste and/or white paint spattered in the bathroom. The room has either a cigarette odor or a mold odor. Not sure.

Overall, the Resort was very good. I do have some negatives I will list later. Pros are location, access to beach, great room location overlooking pool and beach, friendly staff, meals at restaurants were good. Cons were daily resort fee of $27+/day per person, parking fee of $60+/day, no feather pillows (pillows poor quality). As a Platinum Elite member, we received breakfast from a limited menu with NO flexibility if you wanted something different that was a lesser value than those items offered. An additional ~$120 per day fee over and above the room price is excessive! Also, we expected the Westin to be like a JW Marriott. It was not!

Shocking hotel in need of a lot of work. Staff do their best but the rooms are a disgrace. Noisy and very dirty air-conditioning throughout the hotel and you can hear your neighbours aircon all night even when yours is off! Drawers don't close properly, nowhere to hang wet towels. Awful coffee machine in the room which can cause some serious damage if you get too close. Absolutely disgusting.

Had a wonderful time at the Westin due to the staff by the pool, especially my man Pedro
