Best of Grand Bahama Island

  • Garden of the Groves

You can’t leave Grand Bahama Island without exploring its natural beauty—and not just the beaches! The island’s Garden of the Groves offers visitors miles of winding walking trails through lush flora, cascading waterfalls and spewing fountains. When you’re finished exploring, head over to the garden shops or have a delicious lunch or dinner at the Garden Café and Bar. We suggest getting to the park early to explore before it closes at 4 p.m., each day!
  • William's Town Beach

Let's be honest, who doesn't enjoy a good beachside cocktail in paradise? William's Town Beach is a narrow stretch of sand just west of Lucaya Beach and two miles southeast of downtown Freeport. The beach itself is typically less crowded than the more popular beaches, but the surrounding areas and atmosphere are lively and so much fun for visitors. Stop by any of the nearby beach bars and then head to the beach for a sunset stroll, or vice versa! Either way, try getting there early to beat the crowds!
  • Lucayan National Park

Attention all nature-lovers! Once you step foot in this 40-acre National Park, you'll never want to leave. As the most prominent park on Grand Bahama Island, it is home to one of the largest underwater cave systems in the world, with two of them open to the public for an incredible diving experience! Walk along any of the nature trails or boardwalks to explore the native wildlife species, kayak through the park's mangroves or take a stroll along the breathtaking Golden Rock Beach located within the park for the ultimate experience.
