The Pacific waters of Costa Rica are some of the best in the world for hammerhead diving. Cocos Island is a premier destination for divers, with its hammerhead hotspot sitting 82 feet below the surface. Divers descend down and wedge themselves between rocks and watch the crowds of hammerhead sharks swim above.

See magical Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle glide through the warm waters of Maui. South of the Wailea shore at Maluaka Beach, which is also known as Turtle Town, turtles are often spotted chilling on the sands and swimming in the sea. The waters surrounding the beach are calm and great for novice snorkelers and swimmers. Just remember, don't touch the turtles!

Off the coast of Los Cabos lie the Socorro Islands. They're often called Mexico's Little Galapagos and offer a unique chance to see larger-than-life marine creatures, including whale sharks, giant manta rays, and humpback whales. Swimming alongside the whale sharks is a bucket list adventure, so be sure to visit from May to December.

Don't let the dark scare you! Night dives in Hawaii are a popular attraction to see manta rays illuminate in the dark blue sea. Just off the coast of Kona is an artificially illuminated dive area where divers descend to the sand to watch the rays dance and glide through the light and water.
