Great Value for an Nice Getaway
Our 3rd visit in 3 years, and would definitely return again. Extremely nice smaller resort. Great customer service. We enjoy their food more than the larger resorts, it is more tasty/flavorful. After a few days the bartenders know our drink preferences, and are super friendly, as are the entire service staff. Very clean rooms and well kept grounds. Very relaxing. Entertainment staff is extremely friendly and tries to involve daily participation. Good wifi throughout. Safe, gated community. Close walk to 10th Ave PCD for shopping, entertainment or just people watching.

Simply Amazing!
This hotel is simply amazing! Me and my husband had the best holiday and this is our new happy place. Everything is perfect. The food, the rooms, the pool and beach. Especially the staff go above and beyond, Humberto and Jania(jlo) were so friendly and welcoming they all work so hard to make your time here the best and it was! We also loved the wildlife on the resort!😍 Thankyou so much for the memories we will never forget!❤️

Thank you for a great experience
We always enjoy coming to the Allegro and for the most part everything is good to very good we did speak to the entertainment manager on our last day and had made the following recommendations. 1, More afternoon entertainment like Mariacho Band and less of the pool party games. 2, You have a great venue for evening entertainment but it seems to be never use other than for showing movies. Many resort in playacar offer evening entertainment like musical, dance, and entertainment i feel this would be a positive addition to Allegro.

Vacation OK
Just returned from Allegro - 2 week stay. Hotel grounds are exceptional, We were in building 41 which is central and close to pools, beach and restaurants. Food at buffet was great, mexican and oriental restaurants were good, italian not so good. Beautiful beach, pool was very clean. Friendly staff. Entertainment staff seemed to hang out in towel hut - not much connecting with guests. Games that were played seem to take a very long time so we did not participate. Also they did not speak very good english - hard to communicate with them. Rooms is a little small. only closet to put clothes in. I took a closet organizer to hang in closet as there are no drawers. Glad I did. Shows were OK . They did not speak in English a few times so had no idea what they were doing. They need something to entertain guests between dinner and show - perhaps singer in lobby etc. Lunch is only available at restaurant at beach - need better variety - hamburger/hotdogs for 14 days is a bit much. All in all a nice resort but I feel we paid too much for what was offered

We had a great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Allegro Playacar and would absolutely return. The beach is beautiful—large, sandy, and very clean. We had no issues with seaweed; anytime some washed up, it was cleared away quickly, which we really appreciated. The pools were excellent—both clean and well maintained. There’s a lively pool near the beach if you want energy and entertainment, as well as a quieter pool that’s perfect for relaxing, which gave us the best of both worlds. I was pleasantly surprised by the food—everything felt fresh with lots of variety. While there could have been a few more kid-friendly options at dinner, it wasn’t a big issue overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and while the resort is a smaller, older property, it’s well cared for and has a lot of charm. The location is great too—easy walking distance to Playacar. Most of all, the staff were amazing—friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a great resort with a relaxed vibe, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. One tip - ask for a room AWAY from the entertainment (building 12 or 11 is so noisy all night) people party well after 1am and i had a chid that could not sleep. Not the hotels' fault for been fun at night but i wish e were in a building far away from the noise.
