Nice resort
Very friendly staff, rooms clean, the room service only comes in the afternoon. Great kitchen, great buffet. Couldn't handle a blackout (from 3pm to the late evening), during blackout no light, no shower, no toilet. Hotel has a generator, but it didn't start. Caution smokers: Only in the center of the resort, there is a smokers area, two tables with two umbrellas and one ashtray (two ashtrays in the first days), if you smoke at your terrace, other guests ( in our case US) will report you to the hotel security. Want to smoke during your stay at the pool? Walk up to the smokers area and see if you find a chair to sit. You can also smoke at the beach ( take your cigarette butts, please, don't leave them in the sand), but somebody might complain. Playa del Carmen itself became a ripoff (been here 20 years ago). But you might well stay in the resort and have a nice holiday, worth the price. Book some tours from the resort, it's not more expensive than if you do it by your own, but better organized. generally: good experience

Great vacation at the Allegro Playacar.
We went to the Italian restaurant and the food was excellent, service was amazing and the entire staff attended to our needs! Alejandra and Shirley service stood out. The manager of the hotel Francisco took the time to speak with us and insure everything was going well. Excellent beach and first club staff is always exceptional. We love the beach and location of resort, walking distance to town.

Bad!
Food was really bad! Buffet so small. Not a lot of choice of food and no flavors. Worst than Cuba! I don’t recommend!

Jangle stay experience
I think this local hotel is the best for us. We were quite busy taking tours during our 4 nights stay from here from early morning though we could have good times relax. Mexican restaurant located pool area was awesome, Staffs were very friendly. Wake up hearing birds 6AM. Some kind of wild animals I the facility, my child was happy!! It was busy spring holiday time at the end of March, but it was it was laid back and still laxually. Thanks a lot !
