  Lack lustre

  Location is ok 5min walk to some shops/bars and small beach. A land train (ting ting) also stops to main town Cala d’or for more shops/restaurants/bars and beaches. Hotel atmosphere seemed to be lack lustre for English and more aimed towards other languages. Room was across the road from reception lovely and quiet. No tissues, slippers, no filtered water when it comes to shower so horrible salty shower. Whole hotel experience and room did not seem like a 4* experience more a 3*. Token at pool bar for a cup (1euro deposit ) seemed like added thing to think about and not worth it. Went half board never again and don’t pay the 6euro for drinks package at buffet as it’s not managed as everyone claims a glass of wine equalling a con. Entertainment was aimed more at the kids than adults and the adult entertainment if there was any wasn’t on til late and when it was only lasted 1hr-2hr. English was spoken quickly couldn’t understand properly yet other languages were spoken slower and more understanding. Not aimed at English. Pools were not heated so too cold to use. Reception was helpful and explained everything clearly. Definitely won’t be coming back as wasn’t a 4* experience as promised. Only downside is being allergic to pine trees and one being situated right above balcony which has resulted in me arriving home with blisters on feet. Wanted to use balcony. No brush given to sweep balcony, cleaners called but not always available. In the end brought drinks and drank in room. Not the best experience.

  Honest review

  Layout of buffet restaurant...position of coffee machines meant blocking of thoroughfare when they were being used, temperature of water from these machines not hot enough to make tea, Food on buffet barely warm, we had ONE evening meal and ate out the rest of them. Bed frames squeaked and despite 2 mechanic's efforts, could not be cured leading to disturbed sleep. Whe we bought this to the receptionist's attention she said "they are all like that". Realyl strange bed frames we must say....never seen any like that before with hydraulic dampers and scissor frames...looked like something belongin in a hospital not a hotel :-( Salty water from taps in kitchen, bathroom and shower....unable to make a cup of tea; no facilities within 1000mtrs for buying incidentals like DRINKING WATER after the "welcome" bottle was used up. Not at all happy with our stay apart from the great weather. We must say thouigh that the entertainment was good, particularly for young childern, throughout the day and into the evening.

  A holiday for the tourist

  The hotel was immaculately clean. ALL staff were incredibly helpful & friendly. The food was buffet style & was a bit 'samish ' after a day or 2. I do understand it is difficult catering for a very large number. We were disappointed to find no decent coffee available. Also no snacks ie sa sandwich or roll at lunchtime. Cala d'or is purely a tourist area. Seemingly seething with hotels & apartments & tourist shops & tourist eateries , we were disappointed there wasn't a feel of 'real' Spain. Having said that the scenery was wonderful, the seascape & marina with expensive yacht etc. There was very LOUD entertainment every evening, so if you want an early night take earplugs. Maybe there were rooms available which masked the noise (?)

  Lovely hotel

  Lovely hotel, super friendly and helpful staff. Hotel overall was very clean and everything was as expected. Food options were not to my preference, however, the was a lot of variety. Lots of activities on during the day and evening entertainment was good, especially the silent disco!

  Very relaxing, enjoyable holiday

  Thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the beginning of October. Stunning sea views from our room which also overlooked the entertaiment stage. On arrival I asked if we could be moved because I thought it might be too noisy but, actually, it wasn't, and when reception kindly offered us an alternative room the next day, we opted to stay where we were becouse it was great to watch the show from our room if we wanted an early night. Food was lovely, entertainment team were really friendly and engaging (especially loved the quiz night and yoga on the water), location was ideal, views breathtaking, reception staff were really nice and extremely helpful and all the cleaning and maintenance team worked tirelessly to keep the rooms and grounds spotless. This hotel welcomes many nationalties and creates a lovely, inclusive atmosphere. The impressive multi language skills of all the entertainment team play a huge part in this. We spoke to many people who were on returning visits to the hotel and I can understand why. We certainly hope to return ourselves. Many thanks.
