  Do Not Book Transportation through this hotel.

  I travel frequently and visit Cancun at least once a year, along with other international destinations—so I know what quality customer service looks like. Unfortunately, my recent birthday trip to Atelier Playa Mujeres was marred by a disappointing transportation experience arranged through the hotel. While the resort itself was stunning, with excellent staff, food, and drinks, the transportation service was a letdown. I paid $250 for roundtrip airport transfers, assuming booking through the hotel would be more reliable and secure. Upon arrival, things went smoothly. I followed the instructions, checked in with the designated contact, and was eventually taken to the resort. However, the return trip was a different story. My scheduled pickup was at 12:00 PM. I brought my luggage to the lobby at 11:30 AM, where a doorman took it and advised me to head to the entrance 10 minutes before pickup. I did exactly that—but my ride never showed. When I asked the staff, they couldn’t confirm when (or if) the car was coming. Thankfully, my friend—who had booked with the same company for a 12:15 PM pickup—had a ride waiting, and I joined her to avoid missing my flight. I immediately emailed the transportation company to report the issue and received no response. When I followed up by phone, they said they’d respond via email. The email I received denied my refund, claiming I wasn’t present for the pickup—which is simply untrue. I called again and spoke with three different people, none of whom were willing to issue a refund for the missed service. Bottom line: If you're staying at Atelier Playa Mujeres, do not book transportation through the hotel. It was unreliable, and the company refused to take responsibility for their failure. This experience was frustrating enough that I won’t be returning to this property. There are plenty of other beautiful resorts in Playa Mujeres with great reviews—and I’ll be choosing one of those next time. The resort at Atelier Playa Mujeres is beautiful, with great staff, food, and drinks. However, the transportation service arranged through the hotel was a major disappointment. I paid $250 for roundtrip airport transfers. While the arrival went fine, my return ride never showed up. I had to catch a ride with a friend to avoid missing my flight. Despite reaching out immediately and following up, the company refused to refund me, falsely claiming I wasn’t there. Poor service and no accountability. I won’t be booking here again.

  Unforgettable 40th Birthday Celebration at Atelier Playa Mujeres

  I celebrated my 40th birthday at Atelier and stayed in the Inspira Ocean Front Suite—an experience that exceeded all expectations. With the suite came the incredible service of two butlers, Rodolfo and Armando, who truly made the trip unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond—setting up our suite to comfortably host over 30 friends with ice, drinks, snacks, and everything we needed to celebrate in style. They were always just a message away on WhatsApp, ready to assist with anything, anytime. Their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism made all the difference. I genuinely wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate my milestone birthday any other way. If you're considering Atelier, I highly recommend upgrading to an Inspira Suite—not just for the luxury, but for the chance to experience the exceptional service of Rodolfo and Armando. They are truly the best.

  She said YES! at the best resort we've ever been to

  I planned this trip to propose to my girlfriend during our stay. Through research online, I found Atelier and it seemed to check every box I had. When we arrived we were completely blown away by the level of luxury every aspect of the resort had. The layout of the resort was amazing, food and drink was even better, and the pool and beach were out of this world. There were no shortages of beach chairs or pool chairs to choose from at any point during our stay. Every staff member we encountered was so polite and eager to help. Our travel agent put me in contact with Carlos who began planning the Proposal for me. He sent a list of options to choose from (all of which were amazing), and I ultimately decided on the beach location with roses and champagne. He made sure everything was taken care of and took all worries away from that part. Carlos was just as determined as I to make this proposal special. I slipped away from the pool to meet Carlos on that day to get the plan of action ready. I told my now-fiance we would be picked up from the room and given a tour of the property before our dinner reservations that night. It was at this point Carlos' colleague retrieved us from the room. He was so personable and professional. He took one of our phones to take pictures of us at various locations under the guise that instead of using professional models they use guest's photos and just ask that we tag the resort if we decide to post them (GENIUS!). When we reached the beach he had us walk ahead of him and he filmed the entire thing. The setup that Carlos and Luis did was perfect. The champagne and roses were perfectly hidden behind a sand dune and out of sight until just as we rounded the corner. Luis stayed for just a few minutes after the proposal and took the few photos we wanted, then he left to give us our own time. The pictures he took were outstanding and very professional-quality. I truly could not have asked for a better proposal day as you'll see in the pics. To Carlos and Luis, thank you again! You all were amazing. The remaining days that we were at the resort consisted of exploring the grounds and lounging at the pool and beach with breaks to visit some of the MANY bars and restaurants. In all, we loved the steakhouse which had an excellent salad bar and the cuts of meat were better than any all-inclusive I've ever been to and on par with actual steakhouses back home. The beach restaurant, Suspiro, was our go-to for seafood lunches. The taco cart in the evening was one of my favorite places too. Authentic street tacos! On top of that, the room we stayed in (junior king suite) was top notch. Each morning it was cleaned spotless when we left for the pool and a turn-down service was provided in the evening as well! There was no shortage of staff on site either. It seemed as soon as our cups started getting low at the pool someone would be by offering us a refill or another towel when we got out. I feel that we got an incredible deal for everything we received on this trip, and we both mentioned multiple times about coming back again for a second trip. I would recommend Atelier to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun vacation.

  Wonderful Resort to Celebrate Our Anniversary

  We had a fabulous week at Atelier.it was our second trip to Atelier and we enjoyed every single moment.The staff was phenomenal especially our butlers, Rodolfo and Armando.They made sure we had a great stay and helped us with dinner reservations for the whole week.We especially enjoyed dining at Maria Delores. It was out of this world. Our butlers also helped us celebrate our anniversary by arranging a beautiful display of roses and baloons and chocolate in our room. It was such a wonderful surprise. They truly care about the guests and we will definitely return.

  An Unforgettable Destination Birthday Celebration

  We celebrated my 40th birthday at Atelier Playa Mujeres Resort, and it was an absolute dream! As Inspiria guests, we enjoyed a quiet, exclusive, and luxurious experience with stunning pools, diverse restaurants (even a Michelin-starred option), shops, and beautiful Inspira rooms. Our butlers, Alberto and Lazaro, went above and beyond — arranging breakfast, turn-down service, dinner, and spa reservations daily, making us feel like royalty. The highlight was my breathtaking birthday dinner on the beach, complete with gorgeous décor, wonderful servers, and a personal visit from the chef. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration and can’t wait to return!
