  Beautiful Island, Bad Vibes, Banking Blues

  This may be the first time I’ve written a bad review. I attempt to provide any negative feedback privately. However, my experience at this resort was less than ideal. From the initial unwelcoming greeting on arrival, the musty odor to the room (which can be common in tropical areas), not receiving new towels despite being asked multiple times, not being told about the complimentary beach chairs, and the fact that we’re still trying to resolve an unknown credit charge for over $200 made on check in day since departing over 2 weeks ago! We keep being told it takes up to 10 days to credit, however, the charge is not the amount the receipt was for. We only stayed here due to company policy, however, would not select this as a preferred place to stay. However, on a positive note, the concierge and some of the front desk staff were helpful and friendly and the location is walkable to the beach and restaurants.

  Atrium Staff embraces the Friendly Island philosophy

  The Atrium is on Simpson Beach, a perfect spot to hang out and watch the yachts come and go. The hotel is not fancy but more than adequate. The beds are supportive/firm, but comfortable, and the bathrooms are updated. There are lots of places to dine nearby and enjoy the local fare. St Maarten is known as the friendly island, and I found the staff embraces that philosophy. They were wonderful in providing recommendations for things to do/see and accommodating any requests. But it's not just hotel staff that is so friendly, it's the locals too. Staff at the Atrium and the island itself provided one of my best Caribbean vacations to date.

  Atrium Beach Resort - Good location and beach

  The Atrium is an older resort that could use a bit of sprucing up, but the location and the beach make up for this. It has a small pool area and there are a couple of restaurants next door, with many other along the street it's located on. The grocery store is just around the corner. We had a two bedroom and it was very spacious. the kitchen was stocked pretty well - had a great ice maker!!! Our AC did not work great - especially for sleeping. It was incredibly windy for 1/2 the time we were there and the sliders whistled like crazy, which was a bit annoying. It might have been worse as we were on the 8th floor, which was great as we had a wonderful view of the marina and the mountain. The staff were fine, but not stellar. One gal gave me incorrect info 3 times. Other staff were pretty good. We did not use the spa. We did not rent a car as things were so close. We took a bus to Phillipsburg for $1.50 each - great deal!! The beach chair/umbrella person was great - Martin. Very helpful. We would go back mainly due to the location, knowing the resort needs a bit of work. Oh and the bed was great!

  Great Stay In A Beautiful Simpson Bay Area

  Everything about the Atrium was wonderful. The room with a king bed was comfortable. We had a wonderful view day and night from the balcony. The swimming pool was clean and enjoyable. There were plenty of really close restaurants and other food options. The beach was beautiful with many optional things to do. Lastly, the hotel staff were some of the friendliest people we have met. All of the front desk ladies that we met were very helpful to us. We will be back when we get the opportunity and the Atrium is definitely where we will be staying!

  Ok

  So far everything is ok in the hotel I had room 600 with a small balcony including kitchen. You should have bought water etc before and in the morning , I'm out for diving you have to go to the supermarket. From 6.00 am there is everything. Price performance are not consistent
