Everyone and everything was good. The massage was the best ever. Gift shops were reasonable. Food was not good. Room service food was horrible.

Beautiful beach, terrible terrible dinner food
Pros, the beach was absolutely beautiful. It was clean. The water was clean. There were starfish in the water. It was gorgeous. The staff was all very nice and worked very hard. The pools were clean and a very nice temperature. The room was very clean and nice. Cons, The food at dinner was absolutely terrible every night. The buffet was extremely limited and they just threw up whatever. And it was pretty much the same stuff for sides every night. Asian buffet didn’t even have soy and they said they couldn’t get any from the Asian restaurant. They shared a wall with because they were closed. The Italian restaurant was equally as bad. I want to say it’s really bad management and that they are doing their staff a very big injustice by not stepping it up. Because they do deserve better they try hard. One of the cleanings we were given beach towels in our bathroom to dry off on after our showers. They said they didn’t have any anymore white towels. The Hotel wasn’t even half full. The other one we had didn’t even get towels one day. At night, the staff go in rooms that are empty or we’re friends of theirs are staying and they party very loud with them. Cussing laughing it’s bad. Yes we said something to security. I would, however, like to give a shout out to a few people who really did a great job. Dave, the Butler from the beach knocked it out of the park. Thank you. Alicia from the bar she also was amazing. Thank you Clive from the Italian super sweet man did a great job. Claudia from the spa she was super sweet. She went over and beyond to help me. I had surgery not so many weeks ago on my knee and I was having a lot of pain she knew just what to do to help with the swelling in the pain. Thank you. This resort has all the potential to be a top-notch top tier resort. But I feel like their management is not doing their job. You have the staff for it. You just need to get better chefs and you need to have management that’s going around behind the employees making sure that they’ve done a good job and that they know what they’re doing. I believe Marissa is the name of the lady that did our room. Not sure if I’m spilling it right but thank you for all the flowers you put on our bed. They were very nice. We will not return to this resort or any other charisma resorts due to this This is just an epic fail in management and no reflection on the staff whatsoever.

Nice resort but it needs a makeover
The staff at as amazing, the entertainment was good as well. They have a club with great music but unfortunately no one showed up. I was informed that the hotel was only at 40% capacity so that may have been the issue. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to be prepared to walk because the resort is spread out. As members we were in building 11 and the buffer and Asian restaurant was close but all of the other restaurants and the main gift shops were down by building 1. Also, there are no elevators so if you get a room on the second or third floor be prepared to walk some stairs. My only critique is that the resort needs some TLC. There was chipped paint on most of the buildings, the chair cushions need to thrown away, the deck boards around the pools all need to be replaced, the chairs in the dining halls needs to be replaced as well, even the towels and robes need to all be replaced. Someone needs to come in and do a complete makeover to the place. But the beach was clean and well kept. The water was amazing and there were security present which was nice.

STAY AWAY
Just wanted to follow up on my original review. Since returning, I’ve reached out to everyone I could find at the company—and unfortunately, I’ve just been getting the runaround. Apparently, there’s only one person for the entire company who handles resort issues across all their locations worldwide. She takes weeks to respond, and when she finally does, it’s just to suggest reaching out to a travel agent or passing the buck elsewhere. No resolution. No accountability. No real customer service. For anyone who didn’t see my original review: We traveled to Azul Negril with another couple for a special trip and both booked honeymoon swim-up suites. Our friends were put in a standard room—not the suite they paid for—and had to spend two nights there. Meanwhile, we watched another couple get upgraded to a suite before our friends were even moved. They’ve still received no confirmation of a refund or credit. The swim-up bar? Only staffed one day the entire trip, and that was after multiple complaints. They promised to fix it, then never did. The rooms are large but run-down. The TV doesn’t support Netflix and barely has any channels. Even worse, a ceiling vent drips constantly right over the toilet—absolutely disgusting. The food? One restaurant open per night. Otherwise, it’s a bland buffet with child-sized portions. Definitely not what you expect at this price point. Pool was dirty, full of bugs, and clearly not maintained. The only good part of the trip was the beach—but you can get a nice beach anywhere in Jamaica. Skip this resort.

Overall a very good experience
I don’t understand the one star reviews here. One star to me means it was an absolutely terrible experience, and I don’t see how you can have that here. Overall, the experience was very good. The location is absolutely beautiful, the beach and water is pristine, the staff was mostly very friendly, and food was not bad. I do think it is a bit overpriced for what it is, I think if I went when it was first built it would be incredible, but by American standards they have let things deteriorate a bit, but not anything too bad. The food is not “out of this world good” but it is pretty good, l recommend the jerk pork and jerk chicken. I didn’t love that the massage and excursions were all extra, considering how expensive this place is. I don’t want this to take away from the good though, I had a blast. I have never been out of the United States or to an all inclusive, and to be honest, I think I had the best week of my life here. Although I will be going somewhere else next time just to compare, I would definitely recommend it.
