Quick getaway for rest and relaxation!!!
This was our first time staying at this resort and overall we had a great time!! Yudelka was great at the front desk when we arrived. Our room was nice but needed to be updated. We met some special staff members during our stay that made it even more enjoyable; especially at the buffet, Yulisa, German, Katrina, Pastol, Alexander, and Padel were excellent and certainly left a lasting impression. They took great care of us!! Celine and Rosaura were great at the spa. Adolfo was a driver that extended above and beyond service!! Our only draw back was the aggressiveness of the "Private Club" sales people that wanted to present travel package opportunities.....BEWARE!!!

Trip of a lifetime
The staff were very helpful and polite. Entertainment staff absolutely amazing !!! They were so much fun to boost up the energy. The smiles as they entertained was uplifting. The bar staff were very kind and did their absolute best to serve quick and the drinks tasted so good. The resort is stunning. The maids yard workers, and maintenance excellent. If there was a issue like padio door lock broke they would be there fixing the issue by the time you get to your room. The safe in my room didn't function well so maintenance was right there to help. Wedding trip was a success!!!

Fun in the sun
We stayed for 1 week in late October 2024. The hotel is a little dated, but it was a really good value. A few updates or maintenance precautions by the resort would be welcome. Some notes: The resort is huge (there are 7 resorts on the property) so you can either go on long walks or take transport (free). Beach is about a 15 minute walk from the pool. Your wrist band is your key and I found it awkward to put it on the sensor near the handle. Had to squish my hand to to the door jam because there isn't much room. Casino is small, but there was blackjack and roulette available. Shopping was good in the plaza and we found a few souvenirs to bring back. For those who smoke (we don't) there is a sizable cigar shop in the plaza and also a smaller one at the lobby bar that is open nightly. Overall we loved our stay! The Good: Loungers at the pool and the beach were always plenty some. We always found 5 together (we were there with some extended family) Staff was friendly and helpful, most spoke enough english to get by. Wifi was available all over the resort Food was amazing, with plenty of options. (Note that the Aquamarine is one of many resorts in one, it is also one of 2 of the adult only resorts, we dined primarily in the adults only restaurants available but also went to the Indian restaurant one night that allowed children on one of the other resorts) Entertainment crew was awesome - the crew during the day kept things bumping, and the entertainment at night was excellent. You can go to the courtyard where all resorts (including kids) have nightly entertainment, but we stayed on the Aquamarine grounds and loved the nightly shows. Coffee available in the lobby bar with a machine, it was good. The coffee shop is only available to guests of the Ambar. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious Drinks were full strength. Pool bar was always quick and friendly Beach bar was awesome Safe worked without an issue. Food at all restaurants was amazing! My father in law has some mobility issues and used the transports all over the resort without an issue. Had to figure out how to use them the first night, but they were plentyful and we never had to wait. The Bad: Check in was a little hectic. We arrived on a private transfer and they took our luggage and gave us our wrist bands When we got back for our key activation it seemed that the staff was overwhelmed and there was very little order to what was happening. Once it was all settled we were good to go! Bell service helped us with the bags to the room. We were on the top floor and there are no elevators (which we dont mind) Our room door didn't latch properly and we had to slam it. It was because it seems to have been cracked in the frame. Meant we had to double check a few times before leaving to make sure it was locked. Our air kicked out on the first day and we had to get it repaired. Had to call 3 times for someone to show up after the desk promised us someone was on the way each time. once it was fixed it kept the room nice and cold! Drink service at the tables in the lobby bar was basically non-existent. We are tippers and still had an issue with consistent service. At the bar they had 2 tenders per night and there was sometimes a long line, but they were friendly so many didn't mind waiting. Lunch buffet was at the beach and children were present (shared area). I believe the buffet at the resort was open that was 18+, but we didn't check as we liked spending time at the beach. (not a big issue, but of note anyways)

Wonderful stay at the Aquamarine
We were at the aquamarine for 9 nights and we enjoyed every day! Rooms are fine, and cleaned well. We had a ground floor room in building 81 and really liked the location. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was great. We preferred the restaurants at night and we enjoyed the El Olivo and Portofino, Limbo and MEAT. We did not like the Greek, just not our thing. Edwin in the buffet and El Olivo is amazing! Always a smile and always helpful. Juan around the pool is also the best, with great service and always a smile! The pool does have issues with not enough shade or chairs and the chair game was evident and many sat all day with no one at them, not cool for others that spend the whole day at the pool. Overall we loved our stay and have already rebooked for December!

Great resort
We stayed at the Bahia grand Aquamarine and it definitely did not disappoint. This was our first time in the Dominican and it will definitely be one to be remembered. From service to food to staff all was top notch. The resort is very well kept and clean. The food and a la cartes did not disappoint. The only thing I would say is there is a coffee shop on site but only available to certain levels. The coffee machines in the lobbies were always empty on account of this. Again overall it was absolutely stunning.
