  Amazing Vacation

  A magical vacation, this comment is dedicated to the Bahia Principe team in Akumal, we chose your hotel for our vacation and today after 9 days, we say goodbye, professional service, convenience for advance reservations at the restaurants, quality and service in all areas, the spectacular work of the kids club, memorable for the whole family, the animation group from morning to midnight, Miguel's work in customer service, I could not rate it 5 * because that would be taking away points, it is a 10/10, I celebrated my birthday in an excellent place. Believe me, I am demanding and I have traveled around the world and I guarantee you if you want to plan your next vacation, adults and children, memories and experiences for everyone, this is the place. Once again, thank you Miguel, we will see you again very soon, for such beautiful work, I would take you to work in Miami for sure. Thank you Bahia Principe Akumal. Creanme soy exigente y e viajado alrededor de todo el mundo y les garatizo si desean planificar sus proximas vacaciones , adultos y ninos , memorias y vivencias para todos , este es el lugar .   Family Celebration!

  We recently stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury Accommodation in Mexico to celebrate my husband’s 60th year celebration, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. While there were a few initial hiccups, once we brought them to the attention of the staff, they were promptly and effectively resolved, allowing us to fully enjoy our trip. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the hospitality were truly impressive. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to several team members who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable: Jose and Marcos at the front desk, Margarito at the buffet, Jesus and Paola at the pool bar, and Valentina from guest services. Their exceptional service truly stood out and contributed greatly to our positive experience. Thank you for a memorable and enjoyable celebration.

  Grounds are well kept even during construction. Staff is very pleasant and eager to help. I've had better buffets at other resorts in the area, but the food was ok. Booked a swim up suite that has recently been renovated. It was well designed and could have been great, but the overwhelming smell of mold was too much. We requested the linens be switch out shortly after arrival, which they did promptly, but it did not improve the smell. Maintenance came and said it is due to humidity, but the air conditioner had an obvious leak and the smell only got worse over the 3 nights we stayed. For the price, I likely would not stay again.

  Terrible Experience

  While the facilities and amenities at the hotel are impressive, the service, particularly at the front desk was disappointing. Some staff members came across as arrogant and unhelpful. There was no effort to explain the layout of the property or how to navigate it, and we were left to figure things out on our own, including the use of their app. Despite specifically requesting a ground floor room due to a recent injury, we were placed on the third floor with no elevator access. There was also no wheelchair assistance offered. It wasn’t until my condition worsened that we were finally moved to a lower floor. This lack of consideration significantly impacted our stay and reflects poorly on their commitment to guest care. We will never come back at this resort.

  Excellent

  Our stay at Bahia Akumal was excellent as usual. This was our third time and we bought some friends along for this trip. Hotel grounds are kept very clean, a lot of variety of foods, entertainment pretty late into the night. Our concierge on the adults only side, Catalina, was wonderful and provided excellent service. My one suggestion is Bahia should give an incentive as it pertains to referrals. I have referred at least ten people to this hotel who have all booked. A referral bonus would be great incentive to continue referring.
