Would not recommend
I would not recommend this place. For some reason, all the male servers, we're absolutely amazing the women had really bad attitudes and acted as if they just did not want to be at work. I also found two roaches in my room

Bad Experience with Bahia Principe in Runway Bay
The elevators in the hotel do not work consistently. I got stuck in one, it dropped several times and the lights went out. Several guests mentioned that the elevators were not working. Food for dinner on the family side was like cafeteria food. The Italian restaurant only served one type of red wine, which tasted horrible. The phone in our room did not work. There was no entertainment on the Adult side so you have to walk all the way over to the family side for shows. Long lines at the front desk on the family side. People with day passes were at the hotel causes it to be croweded.

Home from home
Just returned home from a 11 nights stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Jamaica . This was our 10th visit to this resort 3 the Grand side 7 on the luxury It’s home from home . Firstly I’d like to thank members of the management for taking time out of their busy schedule to have coffee with us and check if everything was ok and ask if we needed anything . Our room Our room was in block 26 7th floor . A beautiful room very well maintained and very clean . Corner balcony with loungers A big thank you to Sabrina our maid She kept our room spotless , sorry we didn’t get to thank her as she was moved to another floor 8 days into our stay . We had breakfast in the Jazmin buffet every morning . Not a Roach In site !!! All the years we’ve been eating in there never seen cockroaches especially near food but we would rather of eaten breakfast in the Las Olas restaurant as we did previous years . But thoroughly understand why it wasn’t open until lunch . Guest experiences I would like to thank Holly So polite attentive and caring as always She is a credit to the hotel . On a morning usually 10am we went to the lobby bar for coffee with a dash Of Jonny walker red served by Kenisha such a lovely girl always smiling , kind and always had time to ask how the vacation was and asked about the family The lobby bar in the evening our drinks usually served by Euton or Richard two really nice guys that always knew what we like and got our drinks right every order . The signs of a very good bartender 👍 keep up the good service guys . Missing the mudslides already . Service at the beach bar nearest to the nude beach was very good this year served by Old friend Antonio ( bartender on the grand lobby the first vacation we stayed here ) Howard & Sonja All three are very pleasant and cheerful bar staff a pleasure to see behind the beach bar . We ate in all the Al A Carte restaurants Picasso We ate in here 3 nights served by Delpha A lovely lady and very good service The Knife A really nice guy called Jessie served us . We ate here twice and both times his service was excellent Takara Served by Rosy sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong. Great service with a smile and my desert plate carried on his head . Now to the small issues during our stay Mikado The chef Marva at the show table was excellent but the waiter serving the table was having a bad night awful service , never known service to be like it on the show table before . Don Pablo This was the worse service we’ve ever had in this restaurant all the years we’ve stayed at this resort. Very very slow between courses . We ordered Chateaubriand usually carved and served at the table . Well it was for everyone else in the restaurant. Ours came out plated on a cold plate no choice of sauces just put in front of us . We did speak with the restaurant manager on our way out and he was very apologetic about the service The Lifts On our first night all elevators stopped Not great when you’re on the 7th floor . The elevators were soon repaired and we had no problems the rest of our vacation We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and look forward to returning when the renovations are completed . Seeing friends and staff that are like family Take care everyone and see you soon

Not worth the money
Hotel needs renovations and updating. Guest elevator is out of order. I had to stand in a long line 3 times to get a room key that worked, each time going to room on 7th floor. Staff can be rude. The would acknowledge me when I would greet them and just seemed to not like their job. In Jan reserved a room with 2 beds since it would be myself, my husband and teenage daughter. We were given a king bed and told that there wasn't any more rooms with double bed available. We had to wait 2 days to get another room. The room they gave us was such a downgrade. The room phone didnt work, shower didnt drain, we couldn't get towels delivered, the bathroom just looked dirty, the smoke alarm was blinking the whole time, the bed sagged almost to the floor, the sheet had blood on it. I was far from impressed. Positives-The buffet was good and the view and pool were great.
