My birthday vacation
The staff at the Bahia hotel are exceptional. The made my 59th birthday special. The day activities and the bartenders together made everyday exciting. I will definitely be back in the very near future 😍

Out of this world
Our stay was absolutely out of this world, I loved every second of our holiday, We celebrated our 10th wedding Anniversary in this gorgeous hotel on the adults only side, The hotel was always being cleaned, ALL the staff were amazing, On arrival our first step onto our balcony which was sea view room, literally gave me goosebumps, All restaurants where lovely, this is the first holiday we’re I haven’t suffered with stomach issues, The cocktails were amazing ;) We loved getting up at 7am and walking round the whole complex which was a good 1.7mile walk, great way to start the day and burn off them Bob Marley cocktails, I honestly do NOT have a bad world to say about this hotel, Special shout of to Holly who showed us to our gorgeous room, Rushaan on the lobby bar, Caryle on the swim up bar, Keshia who looked after us at breakfast buffet, and ALL the entertainment team… One Love 🫶🏻 we would go back in a heartbeat 🇯🇲

Jodan, Jodan, Jodan?…WTF???
If you expect any level of Luxury choose elsewhere, please. I will do point form, but trust me there are stories behind them all! 1) poor check- in experience 2) privacy of your rooms and belongings, not considered. 3) cleanliness of bed linens - disgusting , brown stains and blood stains. One of us went through 3 rooms, while the other just decided to clean the blood in the sink ourselves after moving to the second room. Three of us were travelling together , requested two rooms close by each other. Didn’t end up that way after having to be moved around. We ended up in different “ cell blocks “ 4) worst ever server experience, guy was a complete mess, insulted the whole group at our “ Japanese experience” very very long story. . Had to get him replaced, the chef recovered the joy somehow. She was lovely. We are all experienced service staff in Luxury. We were told later that he was “ under the influence” FYI, we had a 40 min meeting with the hotel manager Jodan . 5) there was a guest there for our entire week that started arguments everywhere, insulting white people, generally loud and obnoxious. Apparently unless someone gets physical, this Luxury resort doesn’t care about the quality of visit for any of the other guests. 6) when the Luxury manager ( Jodan) attempted to do a recovery service for our group by offering us Cabana service for the day, no one knew what to do so we were ignored for the first 30 min after checking into the Cabana, we went to other seats at the pool. At some point in the next hour or so, they brought us some pop on ice, 3 mini bags of chips and 3 mini bags of peanuts! Screams luxury! Epic failure. After that the Manager of the resort didn’t even try to talk to us. His staff actually threw him under the bus for not filling them in on his expectations for our Cabana experience, ( a cabana server shouldn’t have to guess) we would have told him that if he didn’t decide to ghost us. 7) There are a few rays of sunshine with some service staff, who try extremely hard to make up for failures they see around them . The entertainment staff work hard at the pool. The lobby bar was pretty good until the last night when the previously mentioned racist loud person decided to pick a fight with another guest. The bar manager or staff really didn’t try to do much. In my eyes, the staff and security enabled this guy to act the way he did all week. They are constantly fist pumping and hugging this dude. Interestingly enough, when on the plane back to Canada he kept his mouth shut. I guess planes WILL kick you out for bad behaviour. The guy kept saying that he could do whatever he wanted to do, and they allowed him to do so. 8) We tried our best to enjoy this long awaited for vacation, pools were nice, beach was pretty, but if you were not pre- tipping pool bar staff, you waited extra long. Too many other failures to list, but if you chooses this resort, don’t say you were not warned. Your money can be well spent at other resorts. I would love to hear from the owners of this resort, just putting that out there.

Bad experience in a beautiful hotel
Our stay at this resort was very disappointing and unfortunately, I can't recommend it. We are not complainers and all the times understand situations that occur. We've experienced issues with the safe and the A/C. 1.- Customer Service: The staff from the concierge line showed very poor customer service throughout and were rude at some times. We had issues with the safe for two days on a road (and after telling the technician the issue with the batteries, the safe started working properly). 2.- Communication: there was not communication with the A/C issues, the whole Block 66 in the 6th floor the A/C was down, Management and Concierge didn't informed about the situation. We came back from the beach and the room was all wet with water (due to the condensation) all over (floor, ceiling, mirrors, closets, bed and furniture, our clothes were wet too). The housekeepers did an amazing job cleaning and changing all the bed sheets and make sure the floor was safe to walk. Those ladies and gentlemen (mini bar service) are AMAZING. 3.- Food: The food variety in my opinion was poor, options were limited (we are not Vegan or Vegetarians). Dominican Republic has way better variety. 4.- Facilities: the room was very clean but we had issues with the safe and A/C, making our stay very uncomfortable. The staff in the restaurants and buffet are amazing and very friendly. There is a lady named Rachel that was very helpful, professional and friendly. She should be working on a higher position, very good manners and showed knowledge. Overall this hotel did not meet some basic standards for a 5* hotel.
