Warning to people looking at this resort, not worth the price. Quality of the food and drinks is poor, 1 out of 5
I’m writing this as a warning to people thinking of choosing Barcelo Aruba for their vacation. Do Not Go Here. The food is poor, I would compare it to food in Cuba. Our expectation for Aruba was much higher. This was our second time at an all inclusive resort in Aruba. Issues we had with the food - quality, selection, holding temperature (only warm) Buffet, similar to cafeteria food Mexican restaurant, laughable. Margarita, enchilada, shrimp dinner - poor Breakfast is same everyday Ran out of hamburgers at lunch Ran out of mint for mojitos Drinks aren't good, Low quality alcohol in mixed drinks. Ordered 2 Pina coladas, 1 no alcohol and couldn't tell the difference Basic handwashing procedures aren’t followed-washing gloved hands Dirty linen, buffet napkins To be fair, the Japanese restaurant was very good - teppanyaki Talked with 4 managers, including F&B mgr and Exec chef. We wanted a refund of the all inclusive price and would just stay as a hotel guests. All managers tried to offer Royal club upgrade. We weren’t looking for an upgrade… just a refund for seeing no value in the all-inclusive package. They were not willing to do this. The quality does not justify the price. We chose to eat off the resort to have enjoyable food. Very easy with many good restaurants within walking distance. Recommendation: Want to go to Aruba, choose another hotel. Or save money, go to Cuba for the same experience.

Daniel is the Best Bartender
Another great trip to Barcelo! And just like last year, Daniel in First Club was a highlight. Truly appreciated his attention to detail & incredibly delicious creations. He's one of a kind!

Amazing Staff
Wonderful trip! The Royal Club staff, Edgard, George, Trevor, and Misael are great! And Daniel from the First Club is great, as well!

Do Not Stay Here
Terrible food, had to go out for dinner every night. Expect to be up at 5pm for beach hut or pool chairs. Brown water dripping on food buffet. Requested 2beds could not accommodate

Great service
Thank you to Liza in the dinning hall. Her service was above and beyond. I love Barcelo when I come to Aruba and its the best way to celebrate a holiday.
