Excellent restaurants at the Barcelo
We ate at Mexico Lido Restaurant which was excellent the food was fresh and so tasty. We had Carmen Chavez as our waiter tonight and she was so attentive, always smiling and made great meal suggestions. We also had Carmen earlier in the week as our waitress at Arubian Seafood Restaurant, the food was also excellent. The Barcelo should really hire more waiters like Carmen, it really makes all the difference in a hotel experience. Only good things to say about the restaurants at the Barcelo, the only place the hotel needs to fix is the buffet. The buffet is awful and will really drive away guests at how poor the food quality is. My recommendations to all guests, skip the buffets and only make reservations for your stay at the restaurants. You will not be disappointed!

Barcelo Dinner
Ricardo was really attentive and very patient. He really tried to make all of our requests and attended to us with much care. He also took in consideration food allergies and communicated effectively with the chef. I’d want him every time as my waiter!!

Barcelo Aruba Keeps Getting Better!
This was our 3rd time to Barcelo Aruba and it was our best. We've always loved the location and all of the staff but we hesitated because the two amenities we enjoy...the pool and the beach...were always so crowded. We were barely ever able to get pool chairs and palapas at the beach were a challenge. This year it appears Barcelo has added additional chairs by the pool and chairs could be found as late as 8am every day we were there. Prior years chairs would all be gone by 6am. It was the same case for the palapas and many palapas were available later in the morning where in previous years people would be out before 6am to secure some shade. This makes for a much more agreeable vacation as opposed to having to wake up so early every day on vacation. The Barcelo Staff is second to none and we always appreciate their hospitality! All of the team members are awesome but special thanks to Hudson on the beach who helped our large group of 11 everyday on the beach to set up our chairs. Always eager to assist and make sure we were taken care of for the day. Hudson and the other Barcelo staff are the reason we keep coming back. Barcelo may not be the newest hotel on the beach but the location and the staff cannot be beat. We are already looking forward to our next trip !

Barcelo never disappoints
This was our 15th year stating at Barcelo Aruba. We had the best time as always with friends and family. From checking in to checking out everything was perfect. Upon checking in with Veronica and Sandra up at the Royal has always been a seamless process. They welcome you with a big smile and answer any questions you may have. They both work so hard and make sure everyone feels welcomed to their beautiful island. Your hard work never goes unnoticed and it’s always a pleasure seeing these two wonderful ladies. Just an amazing team! The hotel is clean and the housekeeping goes above and beyond. They work hard and accommodate if and when needed. I’m thankful to come back to a clean room 2x a day! The restaurants and workers also go above and beyond. A big thank you to Francisco at the beach bar for being such a kind human and always pleasant. His drinks are on point!!! Such a hard working individual. Daniel at the first club, wonderful hard working man. Always had our drinks ready with a big smile on his face. All of the workers on the beach, thank you for always having our chairs and tables set up. Additional staff to shoutout Edgar, Rodell, Myrna, Emil, Ray, zulay, Eric, Jamal, Eugene. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your guests. Your greatly appreciated!! Barcelo you never disappoint. We will be back. We are simple people and non complainers but one thing we did miss was someone making the fresh burgers and hot dogs on the grill. They need to bring this back. Add more ac to the hotel areas and the hallways as it gets very hot and muggy. See you in 2026!
