    10th time at Barcelo Bavaro Beach

    Overall, we have had a wonderful time. We have been to this resort many times. The ground are amazing compared to a lot of resorts that we have traveled in the past. The staff is absolutely amazing. Maria in the buffet area is always fantastic. She greets us a year after year and always knows exactly what we want. Jose at the main bar starts remembering your order after the second one. He always has a smile on his face and is very friendly. Elizabeth Rodriguez and Ada are servers during the evenings. I cannot say enough, good things about both of these wonderful ladies. They’re always cheerful and very attentive. You could not ask for better people. The only letdown we have this year was the food. While there was a lot of options, some of the quality at the Harte restaurants has dipped down just a bit. There’s still many great options. It’s just not to the same standard as it has been in past trips. Hopefully this gets rectified before we come back again. All up and down the coastline, the seaweed was horrible this time. I will say, though, they had equipment out there removing twice a day.. I walked up and down the beach, several miles each way, and Barcelo did the best job of cleanup by far compared to all the other resorts. One last item that I would hope they could address is adding music to the adult only pool area. we heard multiple people asking for the exact same thing. Once again, we find ourselves coming back again again to this resort. The main reason is the people. They will take care of you and try to do their best to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

    Fun and relaxing

    Just returned - family of 5 with 3 college age kids. Gorgeous resort. Amazing weather. Friendly staff and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Room was clean, shower was lovely, and the AC was kicking. Buffet always had something delicious and the restaurants were great. Lots of pool and beach chairs. The ocean water was calm and refreshing. The seaweed is part of nature and they cleaned it twice a day. We took out kayaks twice snd saw turtles, rays, and starfish. The shows were enjoyable after a long day in the sun. We played cards in the back of the venue, loved spending our family time together, and had amazing service from Elizabeth Rodriguez!

    The best trip ever!

    The stay here at Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resorts (adult only) has been fantastic!! My husband and I came here for our 20th Anniversary for a week. We stayed in the best room: Presidental Suite (884ft square space not including 2 balconies that overlook the ocean). It also has a private jacuzzi. We have been spoiled the whole time. The staff will accommodate you whatever you want. if the can't, they will try something else to make it work. The Dominicans are very friendly people. The food is wonderful no matter what you eat. It's fresh with no preservatives (very different from the USA). The two best restaurants so far are Dolce Vita and Hoyo 19. It's all-inclusive food and drinks 🍸 except wine. The wine is soooo smooth best I ever had! The best cocktail waitress who went out of her way to accommodate us with a big smile and big heart is Elizabeth Rodriguez!! Ask for her, you won't be sorry!! Negative downfall: make sure you have the my barcelo app going before you come. It has maps and activities that are going on. Very important so you don't get lost finding your restaurant! The property is about 2 miles long. No one could figure it out to get it going! We will be back!! 5 stars for sure!

    Unforgettable

    Really nice experience like always, second time and hoping it will not be my last. Miss Ezequiel from entertainment but Luis and Chocolate were extraordinary and their boss too, super kind and attentive. The servers super professional and kind shoutout to Elizabeth Rodriguez and everyone else that has been doing our stay an amazing experience.
