Slick, big hotel complex were you can be bust all day everyday.
Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. Didn't, and didn't have to, leave the hotel in that time. Rooms, service, set up, food and entertainment are all very good. All inclusive, and for that you get to eat in 4/8 restaurants. Each had a pleasant setting and made a difference to the the buffet. Breakfast and lunch provides good quality, mass food. Never got fed up with it. The gym is big and has a wide range of weights and equipment. Dumb bells >30kg. Plus a load of aerobic machines. You can find 5km running around the whole site. Only problems with the gym are there are no changing rooms (so people walk in with their outdoor shoes on), and you have to go back to your room to shower. Pool areas are nice, some can be noisy though, so find your spot that suits you. Beach is nice and the sea safe and warm. You can always find sunbeds. You can use the none powered watercraft as part of your all inclusive. You get 25 minutes a day on the HobieCat, after sitting a short exam. The problem with this people queue up each day for the station to open and the process isn't the quickest. But at least you get to sail. They put an effort into the shows on in the evening. Worth going to. From the Tropical you have access to three other middle hotels. It's a big site. We would stay again.

October 2025 stay 7 nights
7 night stay in Barceló Tropical. Would have liked a close option of late late night food or 24/7 accessible coffee machine… was great and atmosphere is nice

Mother/Daughter trip
Great food and staff! Check in was a breeze at the Premium in Tropical. Very large resort so lots of walking in the heat. All the restaurants we experienced were very good! Enjoyed the pools and beach and the hut where you could paint ceramics to take back home. Tons of shopping so you don’t need to leave the resort if you don’t want to. Would definitely recommend Barcelo!
