Blue Haven Resort-It's quiet and welcoming
Loved our weeklong getaway at Blue Haven. If you are looking for a little solitude than this is the place. The quiet, private beach was a big draw for us. The staff at Blue Haven were all so friendly and welcoming, starting with Shaneka, who showed us around upon arrival. Our favorite staffers include Kervens, Janet, Maya and Rodney. They all treated us like family and Yessica and Sly kept us properly hydrated. If you go, check out the Fish Fry on Thursday nights in town.....the best Grilled Lobster Tail on the planet. Overall food wise, dinner food is average, breakfast above average. Spa and workout facilities are cozy, but perfect. You will pay extra for any outings you want to go on, and that can add up quickly. They do have a sister resort where you can visit via a shuttle. "Alexandra" is bigger, a little louder, but not as nice. The key there is the long public beach where many stroll for hours on end. It was a great break from the hectic lives we normally lead, but hope to make it back someday to visit Blue Haven. The weather, the smiles from staff members and rhythm of the area are hard to top. 4 Stars!

Quiet beach resort near the canals with good food options.
This resort was a mixed bag for us. On the positive side, it is small and quiet. We enjoyed the restaurants options, which were mainly à la carte and high-quality. The resort is adjacent to the canals, where we spent hours on the stand-up paddle boards looking for sea turtles! We never had trouble getting a chair and the small size of the beach made it ideal for families with small kids. A couple things you should be aware of if you’re considering booking here: First of all, look at the map and notice how far it is from the main beach. If you are a beach walker, you really don’t have anywhere to walk here. You will want to shuttle to the sister resort. Second, we have stayed at many resorts and I would not classify this one as a 4 star. The service was mostly good but not consistently so. We were looking forward to using the bicycles but they were all broken or had flat tires. And the walls are quite thin, so we could hear our neighbors pretty clearly. I hope this is helpful for those considering a stay here. I would definitely recommend it if you have small children.

We had all been to an all inclusive before.. We found the blue Haven and the amenities were somewhat outdated…
We had three couples spend a week there together. We found that we enjoyed the pace of blue Haven versus the Alexandra… we were happy that we were able to visit both properties. It gave us a good balance between the ocean of Grace Bay and the private beach of the blue Haven… it was nice just to walk the beach in Grace Bay. New Haven really didn’t have too many opportunities to just go for a long walk. We found that the food was good at all of the restaurants and the staff was extremely nice and went out of their way to see if you needed anything and how your day was going. It was nice to be able to wake up and still have available, spots went at blue Haven. He didn’t have to rush out and find a chair or an area to spend the day.

Trip of a Lifetime
Just returned from Blue Haven after a 10 night stay with just my mom and I celebrating her 70th birthday and the trip was incredible! We had booked a one bedroom suite but when we checked in we were given the surprise of a lifetime that we had been upgraded to the newly renovated two bedroom two and half bath PENTHOUSE suite and it was amazing! We are still so grateful that we got to experience this! If this is something that is in your budget I highly recommend the penthouse with balcony! The balcony itself is worth it but there are two of the largest bedrooms and bathrooms ever! The whole space has about 20ft ceilings and it makes it feel so luxurious. There was also a large laundry room with washer and dryer (but not soap so you would have to bring some or buy some at the market which is probably very expensive). The managers and supervisors at the front desk were amazing! Angie was always around to help with us anything that we needed and Shekria is always walking abound the property to see if you needed anything or if you were celebrating anything special and even had a special treat sent up to our room for my mom's birthday. Also in the lobby they had fresh baked cookies every morning and they were incredible! This was also probably the cleanest resort I have been too! They are always cleaning the lobby areas, the pool every morning, sweeping off lounge chairs at the beach and the pathways around the pool and beach area! This was definitely the best food and drinks I have ever experienced at an all inclusive resort. This resort is much smaller than most all inclusives so doesn't have the amount of choices you would normally find (only one restaurant for breakfast and one for lunch and two for dinner) but the restaurants are much more about quality than quantity and the food was all amazing!! There weren't really buffets (only a small buffet for breakfast) and you ordered all food off a menu which I prefer over a buffet any time! And the drinks were so good and used particularly higher shelf alcohol than your typical all inclusive. Fire & Ice was the only restaurant for breakfast and it also opened again for dinner. For breakfast Carmen and Janet always took the best care of us and had our fresh squeezed juice and bacon before we even had to ask for it! They did have a live omelet station and a fruit and pastry display but other than that you ordered off the menu. For dinner at Fire & Ice it was a whole different atmosphere and it was delicious! We had Andre several nights as well as Demario and both were great! My mom is a picker eater and they without hesitation made her something special that wasn't on the menu. I had the hangar steak several times and it was probably the best steak I have ever had! I can't remember the name of the lunch restaurant because we mostly got lunch served to us on the beach but they also have tables in chairs in between the pool and beach if you wanted to go there. The food was sooo good and perfect food for grabbing a bite while you are laying on the beach! The beach service for drinks and food was amazing and they never let your drink go empty (even bringing drinks before yours were gone). Bens and Woodlyn were the best! They were always so friendly, remembered all of our favorite drinks and treated us like family! Salt Bar & Grill was the other dinner restaurant which had just recently moved across the parking lot from the lobby. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with the tiki torches looking at the boats and houses. We had Joaquin as our server the three times that we were there and he always remembered us and what we were going to order (we didn't change it up much LOL). He was so friendly and attentive! Woodlyn was also a huge part of the water sports team and took us on our mangrove excursion which was incredible and highly recommend!! It is a clear kayak tour that leaves for our beach area over to the mangroves. It lasts about two hours and you kayak through the mangroves and see soooo many gorgeous sea turtles! There is a chance to get out of the kayaks and hold the jellyfish that the sea turtles eat and we got to hold a live conch as well. We got lucky and saw a huge string ray and baby lemon shark on the way out of the mangroves. It was a great experience! Woodlyn also cleaned off two large conchs for my mom and I to take home as souvenirs and it meant the world to us! The beach at Blue Haven is manmade and is small but take it from beach lovers this didn't bother us at all. The beach area is nice and calm and there were these amazing nets to lounge in the water all day! We did go over to Alexandra twice to experience Grace Bay (which was incredible) but we really didn't miss being a full beach. The pool at Blue Haven is incredible and over looks the whole beach and water so even if you are enjoying the pool area you feel like you are at the beach. We loved this aspect especially compared to the pool at Alexandra which was set way back from the beach area. The only downside to the beach (which was probably because of the time of year that we went) but there was no sun on the beach at all after 3:30 so you would have to end the day at the pool if you wanted any sun. Also the water is kinda chilly (again from being January) as well as the pool because it isn't heated but didn't stop us from spending the entire day at the beach or pool. We also did go to Alexandra twice for dinner but we preferred the overall vibe of Blue Haven so much more. It was so much more relaxing and peaceful at Blue Haven. Even though it's not adult only there weren't many children so never was overly loud. Alexandra definitely had more of a family and party vibe which was fun for a beach day but think I wouldn't want to stay there all the time. Tishane with the entertainment team was incredible and did a fire dance show Saturday night at Alexandra and Monday night at Blue Haven and we got to luckily watch both shows. Definitely was one of the highlights of the trip. There isn't a ton of entertainment especially at night but we enjoyed just being able to relax but Tishane and the team did put on some fun trivia games by the pool and there was a DJ one night in the evening and karaoke and bingo! Overall this was definitely a trip of a lifetime! The staff is all so friendly and welcoming and we keep saying this trip and place will be hard to top! We hope that we will be able to come back one day!

Fabulous place to stay; highly recommend
A wonderful 5-night stay with family and friends. The resort was well-maintained, our 2 bedroom room was spacious, and the food was delicious! The staff was very friendly and highly attentive to our needs. We don't often repeat places to stay, but our family agreed that this place was well worth returning to in the future! We loved the small amount of guests on the property even when they are at full capacity. We never had to fight for a beach chair, table, or wait in any kind of line. Our two young sons made lots of friends with the other kids staying there as well as with many staff members. We highly recommend the Blue Haven.
