  Our favorite resort

  This was our 3rd time at Breathless Punta Cana and our 3rd time having exhale and having Willy as our butler. He is one of the reasons we come back to this resort he goes above and beyond and takes care of anything you need The resort is beautiful the food is very good other workers we love seeing are Junior at the pool bar Sadie at the pool bar and Francesca at exhale club. They have all become like family to us

  OUTSTANDING

  I had an outstanding time at the resort. the service was impeccable, and the staff was excellent. I would encourage you to go to this resort and enjoy yourself. The food and drinks were great and plentiful. We met couples who go here annually. Ps: the people in the Dominican Republic are so friendly and genuine. Thank you

  A lovely budget-friendly all-inclusive resort in paradise!

  My husband and I spent 9 days at Breathless in December for the second half of our honeymoon. We had mixed expectations going in, knowing that it is more of a budget-friendly all inclusive. Overall we had a wonderful time. The resort is on the far north end of Punta Cana, which makes travel to it a bit long. The airport isn't too far, but most excursions we went on were over an hour away. That being said, weather was still perfect the entire time we were there. The vibes are definitely fun. This resort embraces the "party" reputation, with its white and neon parties, its club, and its party pool. There was something fun to do/somewhere to dance at most times of the day. We loved this, but we will say it is a bit difficult to find a place that is a more relaxing, spa-type energy besides the beach. The rooms were fine. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, the temperature control was great, and they were very clean. I would say there's nothing very aesthetic about the rooms, they are pretty white and plain. But if you're here to hang out in your room you've picked the wrong resort. We got this stay using Hyatt rewards, so we don't know the exact cost, but we know it was good bang for your buck. It is more of a budget resort, and that shows in some areas, but you also get so much value. In addition to the beautiful adults-only resort, you also have full access to the resort next door, Dreams. This is where my husband and I ended up eating OFTEN, but also where we spent some time at the waterpark and sports bar! Food is definitely not this resort's strong suit. We are not food snobs at all and we were satisfied with most of our meals. We had one bad meal at the french restaurant (with chicken I couldn't cut through), but otherwise every dish was "fine". We particularly enjoyed the hibachi restaurant and the Spoon lunch buffet. Otherwise, after a few days, we ended up doing most of our lunches and dinners at Dreams next door. Their food is MUCH better, and it's super nice that we had access to both! We did the Xhale club, and we are happy we did, though I am not sure it is totally worth the money. I'd definitely advise negotiating via email or when you arrive for the upgrade rather than just booking it from the beginning, because they will negotiate on price. With Xhale, we loved our butler (Emilio) and spent a lot of time at the Xhale pool where it was quieter and we made friends. The drinks are definitely better at the Xhale bar as well! I wouldn't say our room was better or worth the upgrade, but we definitely enjoyed our experience overall. Overall, we had a wonderful second half of our honeymoon. We met wonderful people, danced at the club and parties, won money at the casino, got drunk in the pool, relaxed on the beach, and just had a lovely vacation.

  Breathless exceeded my expectations!

  First time to Punta Cana and chose this resort based on reviews. My party of five used the resort provided transportation and was not disappointed. The resort is approximately 40 minutes north of the airport, and the driver was motivated to get us there quickly. We upgraded to the Exhale Club and used many of the amenities to include the breakfast area, the bar, pool, and beach area. There were no towel cards which made it easy to get exchange towels and lessened the drama of losing a towel. The grill by the beach had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, paninis, and other tasty treats. All of the restaurants were easy to get into (no reservations except the Asian Steakhouse) and the Mediterranean spot was closed our week. The entertainment each night was fun and interactive. The theme nights included a white (beach), neon (pool), as well as live music performances. The lobby bar also had some type of live entertainment each night. The night club, which opens around 1030p, was also busy with music and people. We stayed in room 4194 which gave us direct access to the beach, and the location and view were incredible. We loved our hostess, Miss G, and will be coming back to Breathless in the coming years.

  Disappointing

  The rooms need a Cleaning deep dive. The rooms were also dated with light switches falling off the wall and toilets not working properly. The entertainment and shows at the pool were excellent. The food at the buffet was above average and the food at the dinner restaurants Was very mid. The staff were friendly. The nook a coffee house was a favorite.
