This was a much needed relaxing trip! The location was beautiful and the staff was unbelievable! Demitri was our server for breakfast and we started each day with his friendly smile and suggestions for dinner. Maria, the concierge, was a true delight. She was beyond helpful and made our stay so easy. The only problem with the stay was the loud full filter noise that could be heard in our room all night

Aug 15, 2025Give the guest the benefit of the doubt and make sure they have a receipt at check out
I booked my visit in April for my stay this July, 2025 they give a discount to pay in advance. I had a gift certificate to pay for room but there is no area on the reservation form to apply the gift certificate or I just missed it. When I got there I told the desk I had a gift certificate they said to put it away they would use it when I checked out. I found the property to be in a good location but not the standards of an Autograph Collection Property like I stayed in at Virginia Beach, Savanah Georgia of Greenville SC. Just was not up to par with cleanliness, attention to people, activities or amenities. The restaurant was terrible but we found a good restaurant and bar next door at the Andaz Hotel which was more to our style. So after two nights we are leaving to get on a cruise and I ask for my bill and give the attendant my gift certificate which he says he needs to take and keep and staples to my bill which I ask for a copy of and he states he cannot give me a receipt and will email it later in the week. I told him that was not normal and he apologized but said that was their policy. Later while on the cruise I see they only charged my gift certificate with additional items such as bar or food at pool on the gift certificate and did not apply the full amount to the room. So I now have more than two thirds of the gift certificate left and damn if I want anything to do with Marriott at this point. I am a Bonvoy member and never received credit for that either. I complained to Marriott about the lack of a bill at discharge and they were of no help. I still have not received Bonvoy points. Just very disappointing other than the location and the hotel next door.

Family of 5 so had two rooms. One room over the noisey air conditioning vent one over the pool so one great one awful but were opposite. Decent location nice pool and walk over to beach. Breakfast was included for 4 of us only so we had to pay 48 usd for one. Really worth it, friendly waiter but not great food would eat out. Did us for a couple of nights and due to a few issues they didn't charge us any extra so decent with customers

We stayed at this hotel for part 2 of our honeymoon, the location is great your literally next to the beach, swimming pool and amenities around the pool area are great. The room was a little dated and the air con is super cold if you like that, but the staff are second to none so attentive and very friendly. Great stay

Horrible experience!!
AC didn’t work in the rooms or in the lobby no hot water and the Internet and TV kept going in and out. We were there for a conference and what a horrible experience. I’ve always been a Marriott van, but this was by far the worst experience.
