Catalonia Royal Tulum is a delight; it's a little gem of a hotel. Fantastic location, great food, lovely staff. The 'jungle' walkway from your room to the beach is wonderful both during the day and in the evening when it's all lite up and the little animals were a bonus! Angeles & Quetzabel in La Palapa were amazing. Always bright and full of smiles, helpful and always remembered your names. They are superstars of the hotel. We found all the food was of a good standard, great choice at breakfast and the lady who made the omelettes did a cracking job …… literally! The a la carte restaurants were lovely, particularly enjoyed the Mexican and Rauxa, the food was exceptional. We did find some of the restaurants very warm (Rauxa & Tao Cat were the exceptions). The animation team were fun, lively and always made time to stop and speak to you … and no big deal if you were happy not to join in and watch from a distance. All the staff throughout were pleasant and smiley throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. I’d like to give a special shout out to the guys that removed the seaweed on the days it was present. Always working hard and making the beach look beautiful. The juice bar on the beach was fabulous. The room was cleaned daily & was spotless (towels replaced if required) mini bar was well stocked and large bottles of water were left in the fridge and on the side so they could be replaced. The aircon was a bit nosey in the room (and you needed it on), but that didn't stop us getting a great night’s sleep, the bed & bedding were really comfy. At the Catalonia Royal Tulum, you can switch off and totally enjoy your stay, we loved it.

From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was absolutely perfect – so perfect that we honestly didn’t want to go back home. The food was simply amazing, with so many delicious options that we looked forward to every meal. The beach was a dream, cleaned every single day from sargassum, so it was always beautiful, calm, and inviting. What really stood out to us was the staff – every single employee was excellent, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. A special thank you to Angels from the buffet, who was always so kind and attentive, making every visit there such a pleasure. The night entertainment was also fantastic, full of energy and fun, giving us something to look forward to after relaxing days by the beach. Our room was spotless, thanks to Claudia, our maid, who took care of it with so much attention every day. It made such a difference to come back after the beach or dinner to a perfectly clean and cozy space. The whole atmosphere of the resort was peaceful and pleasant, with the beach surrounded by beautiful jungle, which gave us the best mix of relaxation and nature. At other resorts, we’ve often found ourselves bored after just a few days, but here, it was completely different – we always had something to enjoy, and the time flew by way too quickly. We are already looking forward to returning, because this was truly one of the best vacations we’ve ever had.

Fantastic Entertainment team
Paulina, Charlie, Diego, Abraham and Eddie from the entertainment team were fantastic! Their energy was so charming and lively. They really added to my stay here.

Fantastic resort
Absolutely nothing to complain about! Fantastic location, exceptionally clean and the staff are all attentive and professional. The wildlife and jungle make it truly special.

Amazing time at hotel from restaurant team and entertenments
Tita was amazing her friendly smile. Edi always making everyone welcome, Diego Brighting the day. Quetzabel is the best person in the resort. Speakes any language and make everyone welcome!!! The pool bar guy who started 4 months ago and makes everyone welcome. We feel part of resort. Everyone is amazing but wish front desk would put the same effort the team at the pool does.
