  An absolutely wonderful stay

  I do not often put trip advisor reviews on and I also take them with a pinch of salt myself however because we had such a lovely stay I wanted to write a review as it’s the least we could do for the service we received. Our stay was nothing short of excellent mostly thanks to the incredible staff from the moment we arrived. Check in was easy and reception staff were always happy to help. We arrived to the hotel quite late and still managed to get booked in for dinner last minute. The dining experience was impressive and although we had to book for evening meals this was worth the food quality and booking was never an issue so easy and there was always space where we wanted to go. We would like to specifically say that there were three members of staff in particular Angeles Quezabel and Ivana who catered for us during the buffet lunch and always went above and beyond, had smiles on their faces and were just so lovely and warm every single time. The entertainment team definitely made the stay an unforgettable one, Paulina, Abraham, Diego, Eddy were all absolutely fantastic. They had so much energy, kindness and charisma, we could not have asked for better entertainment team. They always gave us the confidence to join in with all the activities we liked and gave lots of announcements about what was happening. Their dancing skills are a show alone. We had one very rainy day due to July being the rainiest season and even the storm was made into a memorable experience by the entertainment team. In the future we would definitely come back just to see these again. Charlie had been on annual leave for most of our visit and although we only spent a couple of days with him he was also so kind and fun to be around. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a holiday which is equally entertaining and relaxing. The hotel met all of our needs it was clean, cleaners were always prompt coming in multiple times throughout the day and also providing fresh beach towels everyday. The WiFi throughout the whole hotel never an issue. Sun lounger availability was never an issue. Food - fantastic and I am a picky eater. Our favourites were Steakhouse, and Rauxa. I was even a bit apprehensive about Rauxa we because there was only a few options so decided to have a big lunch and just go for the live entertainment meal experience and I was so pleasantly surprised, the food was stunning there and acrobats, magicians, music players all exceptional. The Steakhouse was incredible we ate there a lot. Lunch Buffet was very good and the staff made this that even bit better to be honest. Entertainment team five stars, Pau and Abraham will always hold a special place in our hearts. Together we hope the management recognise the exceptionally hard work from all of their staff.   Good but 3 star

  Resort is not 5 star. 95 percent of employees are fab. The issue we have had is with room service/cleaning. One night we had no towels at all. We had used ours for a few days. Put these on floor to be exchanged. They took the old but gave us nothing in exchange. We had to call. Ordered room service they got that wrong. They did fix 20 mins later but to be given the wrong order is lame. Worst thing though is the mini bar service , it’s not been refilled for 6 days. Have complained twice and still not sorted. I have raised a complaint with our tour operator

  BLoved Rocks!

  We loved the beach, and the pool. The staff at BLoved restsurant was outstanding and the menu was top quality. Check in was a little slow because we were a big group. We were not pleased with the repeated attempts to sell us membership.

  Lovely hotel, EXCELLENT team.

  The hotel and restaurants are lovely at Catalonia Royal Tulum, but what really made our holiday special was the staff. They seem to genuinely love their jobs, and made our stay so much fun. Quetzabel at the buffet is sunshine personified, and the entertainment team especially Diego, Paulina, Abraham and Tita work SO hard. They are always keen to get you involved (we loved water aerobics and the Paint & Sip on the beach) but are not at all pushy if you'd rather stay sunbathing! They went out of their way to give us advice on local trips and places to go, and we ended up chatting and getting to know them all. The entertainment at night was unexpectedly great, the neon party especially. The hotel rooms are nice, but with such high humidity and temperatures, we wished our aircon was a bit stronger. This is the same across the restaurants, I took a small handheld fan to each one as it was so hot. The best food is at Tao, but make sure you wear mosquito repellent, I was eaten alive the night we had dinner there. The food at the mexican and Ruaxa is also nice, but we wished the buffet was open at dinner time, as the breakfast and lunch there was so good. We went snorkelling just off the hotel beach with the onsite team, and despite the sargassum,we saw some amazing fish. I also had a massage at the spa which was one of the best I've had. Overall we had a great 10 day stay, which was made significantly better by the staff!

  Good service

  Good service by Juan and Marcelo, really fun and welcoming at the sorento restaurant. All staff was excellent too, great show and activities during the day
