shower? not so much.
The hotel room was mostly fine, the breakfast had some nice offerings (though they sometimes ran out of items well before breakfast ended)--our main complaint was that our shower had very inconsistent water pressure. Sometimes the pressure was so low that no water came out of the shower head. A few minutes later the pressure would return, for a while, only to fade out again. We mentioned this three separate times to the desk staff, and three times they told us that it was not possible. Fellow guests we spoke with at breakfast said that they had shower problems too, so perhaps the water pressure problem is hotel-wide. We found the cleaning staff very nice, and the breakfast staff perfectly fine (sometimes they appeared over-worked; possibly under-staffed?)--but the desk staff were atrocious.

Outstanding Family Vacation: Great Hotel and Amazing Staff and Service
I recently booked a group (5 rooms) family vacation to Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. 13 of us stayed 7 nights at Comfort Suites, LaKeisha in Group Bookings was there for us all the way. She made all arrangements, reserved the exact rooms we requested, and answered all of our questions along the way. When we returned home and I had trouble getting my rewards points for our stay, she took over and worked thru the problem with me. I can't recommend Comfort Suites Paradise Island and their staff highly enough.

MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD - Roach Infestation in Room AND Restaurant
I recently stayed at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island with my fiancé and our one-year-old infant, and it was a health nightmare. The Room: Upon check-in (Room 244), we discovered cockroaches in our living area. As parents of a toddler, the lack of sanitation was terrifying. The Restaurant: It gets worse. While having the "included breakfast" in the hotel restaurant, my fiancé captured video footage of a cockroach on the ceiling right above the food service/dining area. This is a systemic infestation that affects the entire property, including where guests eat. It is a blatant health code violation. The Management: Despite having video and photo evidence, management has been dismissive. The General Manager (Barbie Rolle) admitted fault via email but refused to provide a full refund for even the first night. They offered a tiny credit that doesn't even cover the cost of the "roach night." Choice Hotels Corporate (Case #13270617) has been useless, claiming they "can't control" the billing of their own branded hotels. We have had to spend our family vacation filing bank disputes and reporting this property to the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. ADVICE: If you care about hygiene or are traveling with children, DO NOT EAT OR SLEEP HERE. The video evidence of bugs in the kitchen/dining area speaks for itself.

Nice location
We were only here for 1 nigh. The location is beautiful and apparently you get to use the Atlantis amenities. Check in process was chaotic and took nearly an hour, with lines and groups shifting around arbitrarily. The restaurant closed at 4pm, which was initially frustrating to have to find dinner off-site after a long day of travel, but there were a few easy options around. Overall, clean and safe with a nice breakfast buffet.
