Great staff and location mainly
The staff make this place, all working hard - the cleaners never stop! Bar staff run off their feet serving far too many other sections. This hotel needs more bars as nothing in main reception and limited seating around the one bar. Dont enjoy perching on high stools and a few other seats far too low for people of a certain age! Strange that main entertainment is the dining room and only other option the piano lounge. Food in buffet luke warm (maybe its an english thing) didnt have one item from here warm enough all week- cold plates doesnt help. Could benefit from overhead hot lights and proper rotatoon of food as often became very dry. Red snapper as the fish course every day - how short sighted. Missing a real bbq rather than precooked food in metal containers as in buffet. Separate a la cartes disappointing, again food luke warm, despite request on ordering could my food be hot? Then raised eyes from the server whrn i questioned it not being done! Never thought i would spend most of my time eating from a snack bar just to get freshly cooked food. Jerk chicken was great and staff very helpful. Rooms spotlessly clean but dated as previously stated but the views are amazing. Well stocked mini bar replenished daily. Beach staff very friendly and fun people, enjoyed the glass bottomed boat. I have spent many years staying in mexico/Caribbean and find this hotel lacking. This is more of a 3 star hotel level when you assess the facilities, lack of bar locations, food. Wanted to love this place like so many others, but sadly fell very short of what is delivered elsewhere.

Great experience at a Historic Jamaica Resort
My wife and I traveled to CTI at the end of June 2025, we stayed 4 days/nights at the resort and we loved every minute of our stay. Yes the resort is old and the rooms are in need of some facelift but the heart of the resort is still beating strong. The biggest asset of the resort are the wonderful staff and management; they're there to serve and please every guest. I am not going to repeat what many quest said before me, but I just want to say that the food was delicious, the service is impeccable, and the views are breathtaking. I also would like to thank the staff at the piano bar; the entertainment is unbelievably funny and the bar staff will go out of their way to make you a "dream" martini. We spent a day at the spa (we had the couple's massage) it was worth every penny... amazing place, we highly recommend it. My wife and I would like to say hello to all the Canadians from Ontario and Quebec that we met at the resort, hope to see you there again. This was our first time at CTI but not our last, we'll definitely be back there soon.

Dont go to this hotel
This hotel is certainly not a 5 star food was very poor lack of choice try and find something to eat at lunch, if you dont get down before 7 30 for dinner you have no chance as they dont replenish anything my husband and i had to order room services most of the time but be quick as last order is 9. We have had the last 6 Christmases away and all the hotels we have stay at but on such a lavish christtmas lunch and evening food DONT expect this at this hotel christmas lunch was inedible especially the meat a lot of food was left on peoples plates and for christmas dinner was just back to normal buffet food. If you're disable dont go, to get to different levels of this hotel theres stairs everywhere and no ramps for wheelchair. Rooms need refurbishing furniture tatty and old the shower is dated. Designated smoking area never cleaned and furniture shabby, and a warning if your a smoker there's a lot of people smoking weed (cannabis) in the smoking area which is freely bought off the beach. We had some windy day and a lot of debis was washed up but not cleaned up. The hotel promises us five star couples experience the hotel certainly let us down would never go to a couple hotel again👎👎👎

Meh.
This was our first time at the resort and in Jamaica. We were really excited to go based on all the wonderful reviews of Couples Tower Isle. It's a nice, small, low-key resort with a small but nice beach and good service. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the guests and staff are friendly. We paid for a deluxe ocean view room and it was anything but 'deluxe.' The complaints other reviewers make about the bathrooms are accurate -- our bathroom was small, poorly lit, and barely functioned. We had to call maintenance almost every day because the toilet wasn't flushing and then the shower fixture just completely fell apart on our last full day. The bathroom situation could be improved with some simple fixes like better lighting and some hooks to hang up towels & robes. Overall just not impressed considering the amount we spent on our stay. We were also disappointed with the food, which was one of the main reasons we chose this resort. The options are extremely limited. They are still having supply issues, which is understandable, but several times the menus just didn't match up with what we were served in absurd ways. For example a salad at Bayside was described as "mixed greens with green papaya and peanuts" and it was iceberg lettuce with anemic tomatoes and shredded carrots. At Eight Rivers, supposedly the "fancy" restaurant, I ordered risotto with mushrooms and got a molded pile of rice with cheese broiled on tip and a few roasted summer squash. Apparently the menus are just aspirational? I don't know, we were baffled by everyone's raves about the food. On the positive side, the chef at Bayside made me a special vegetarian entree that was the best meal I had the whole time. If you are vegetarian, prepare to be protein deprived. In addition to all this, one night my husband found a shard of glass in his drink at the bar and a plastic bead in his dessert at the buffet. These issues were met with apologies but no follow up from the resort management. They did offer us a $100 credit on our bill because of the maintenance issues, but this was honestly a drop in the bucket of this $4000 disaster of a week and did not make up for the crappy experience we had.
