Nov 23, 2025Solid 3 out of 5. Great staff, average food.
LOCATION - 25 mins from airport, which is nice, but the road is unpaved and is so bumpy, your back is going to hurt after a ride. Beach is very small, and water is usually muddy, with some seaweed, but is decent overall. There is nothing nearby the hotel, you would have to get an Uber to get anywhere. SERVICE - Check in was very slow. We spent 1 hour in line trying to check in before we were told we have an Amber Suite and need to check in upstairs. At the buffet we had to wait quite a bit to get our drinks. Not all bartenders know what they're doing, but some of them are true gems, like Edwin. Bars are usually quick. Cocktails were very solid. Waiters by the pools do a good job too. Amber Suites attendants Rafael and Humberto were amazing and took care of us really well. ROOM - Room was very nice, with comfy bed and everything you need. If you get an Amber Suite, the room service will be included and you will have your own jacuzzi. It's worth it. FOOD - this is my pain point. There is ZERO difference in food options between Lunch and Dinner. Same offerings. Boring. People wait in lines to get meats, as they grill them only by request, and it takes time to cook. Pizza was barely OK. They have restaurants you can make reservations at for dinners, they're better than buffets for sure, but by no means fancy or mind blowing. Food was a disappointment overall. ENTERTAINMENT - Probably you win if you have kids with you - all shows are mostly targeting kids, and would be quite boring for adults. They have play rooms for kids and pools for kids. The shop is very nice, it has everything you'd want. A little movie theater, disco club that works every night are on site as well. Wi Fi is actually very very good, to be honest. OVERALL - We've travelled a lot and stayed in several resorts and this one is definitely 3 out of 5. Staff is very nice, service is nice, but for the price you won't be able to enjoy food, which is very important for us, or find lots of space or things to do (unless you have kids). We won't come back here for the price.

Nov 23, 2025This resort is not good. Kudos to the Sensira marketing team for making it seem otherwise.
This resort simply is not what is advertised, and is certainly not what you’d expect of a self-proclaimed luxury resort. If you like going to an all inclusive to line up/fight for food at a buffet, wake up every morning not knowing whether you’ll be able to get a lounger somewhere near the pool or a reservation at dinner, then Sensira is the resort for you. Grounds: Ok Service: Sub-par, severely understaffed - the staff that are there are working hard, there’s just not enough of them Rooms: Pretty clean, towel refresh/turn down service inconsistent Entertainment: Good for kids, pretty bare for adults - several advertised activities are poorly supported (bad/lack of equipment, hard to access because no staff available to support) Food (Restaurants): absolute trash - half the restaurants are never open (1 week stay experience), you’re limited to basically buffet or 2 dinner restaurants on a daily basis (not the 4 options they make it look like on the site) and because there’s only 2 restaurants open it’s very hard to actually get a spot at the restaurants. Reservation process is inconsistent. Once you do manage to get in, the food is mediocre at best. Food (Buffet/Snack Bars): probably the worst of any all inclusive I’ve been at - arguably very basic offerings are always running out and not refilled adequately (milk for cereal, yogurt, bacon, guacamole at breakfast or chips and salsa at snack bar to name a few). Service is slow because of the lack of staff (hard to get a high chair, coffee, water refill, etc). Most things are simply easier and faster to do yourself. To top this off, breakfast/lunch/dinner at buffet is pretty much the same everyday, the variety of food stations you may see on photos are cool, but half the stations are never actually open.

Great place to stay
Great hotel with good facilities, large pool, really tasty food. Awesome yoga classes with Zania, fun and challenging at the same time.
