Feb 10, 2026What a joke!!
This was the worst ever Dreams- Secrets I have stayed at. The Hotels have construction going on between them and that cuts down on dinning. Very run down and dirty. No beach and very few beach chairs. Most chairs are broken. Pool area is very tight at both places. Always ran out of certain beer and alcohol. Preferred club was a joke. Food was always cold. Please believe me I will never come back.

In general the resort was good with nice rooms clean. The resort could use some maintenance work and it could be cleaner in the public washrooms, the elevator. The general manager needs to act as a guest for a few days with his wife, by using the facilities he would see first hand the issues he does not notice by relying on the staff. The cleaning staff are very busy and try to do a good job but do not report any issues, it is not their job! In most public bathrooms they are not well cleaned and the faucets are very loose and are going to break. Surely when the cleaning staff uses the faucet they notice this. The manager would also notice this if he used the facility. So many maintenance issues are obvious just by walking around the resort but nobody reports anything. Food is ok could have better variety. Beach in front of resort is great for snorkeling with a lot of rocks water shoes are recommended. Nice long beach for walking with beautiful blue water. The western exposure of the resort has great sunsets. At the beach bar Carlos the bartender is the best and makes the best passion fruit margaritas! We found the advertised room type was misleading. We paid for an ocean view room which was a regular room. In order to view the ocean you had to go on the balcony look completely to your left and you saw some water. We were told this was considered ocean view? Ocean front is apparently where you actually see the ocean!

Great resort, clean, good food, friendly staff, quiet, BEAUTIFUL beach!! Only thing I would suggest is when you check in ask about the resort and what you have access to at Secrets as this info is not given during checkout.

Staff is very unfriendly. They don’t do as advertise
Staff is very unfriendly it is an all inclusive resort, but they make it hard for you to get things and hard to get in at the Restaurants for dinner so you end up paying for things on your own

Amazing service at Dreams PM Buffet!
We had an amazing experience with the PM Staff at the Buffet at Dreams. Dano was a wonderful server and the whole staff made a special meal of shrimp for our last night. They always went out of their way to make our meals special. Dano really took care of us and made our meals amazing! We want to thank the staff-Vicky, Heseros, Dano, Jesus, Adan, Saul, Chefs Paty, Cristian, and Manuel!
