greatly exceeded our low expectations
General We just completed a 7 day stay at Dreams Cozumel Cape where we booked an Ocean Front Preferred Jr. King. With our UVC membership, we were upgraded to an Ocean Front Swimout King. It is important to note that Dreams Cozumel Cape, Sunscape Sabor, and Secrets Aura Cozumel are all connected and essentially one large property. We went into the experience with very low expectations due to the mixed/poor reviews, especially of the Secrets Aura property that you can find just about everywhere online. What we found, however, was a solid, and enjoyable experience at a decent resort where the bang for the buck was very good. UVC Service Of the six Secrets/Dreams resorts we have been to (Maroma, Vallarta Bay, Moxche, Tides, Bahia Mita and now Cozumel) only Maroma may have been better in consistency of good service. Our Swimout was served by Laura, Victoria, and Eugena(?) who were very attentive and came by very frequently. On the days we went to the preferred pool at Secrets, the pool staff and bar tenders were also very attentive and good. All of our servers at the restaurants kept our drinks filled and were checking on us frequently. Room Our first night was spent in the ocean front king. This room smelled slightly musty, but that was quickly resolved by opening the balcony door for a few minutes. The room itself was well appointed and comfortable with a magnificent view of the beach and Gulf. Upon moving to the Oceanfront Swimout king, the room was perfect. The swimming pool was a little on the cool side, but still okay to use. The 5 or 6 rooms were all connected with the pool which made for a nice social atmosphere. From the pool, you could climb over the edge and be on the beach. The room itself had a spacious shower, a water closet, and plenty of room to move around without being on top of my spouse. The bed was comfortable and the mini-fridge was kept well stocked our entire trip. Pools The main pool at dreams has a smallish pool with a plastic play area for the kids, however, we never used that pool as we were just the two of us adults. As mentioned previously, the swimout pool was a bit cool, but very clean and about 4ft deep. We did not use the main pool at Sunscape, but it is spacious and was sparsely populated. The secrets property has 4 pools. The first one we visited is like a lazy river, but the water level is quite low, not even covering the top step. The pool is also in poor repair and did not appear to be using the skimmers at all (they were above the water line). The second pool that is on the far south end of the beach is small. We did not use this pool either. Near Bordeau, there is another pool that is connected to rooms with water slides. While we did not use this pool, some of the folks we met did and they found it quite lively and enjoyable. The preferred pool at Secrets is well maintained and was a comfortable temperature and depth. There is a pool bar where they will pour the drinks strong and it tended to get more lively as the day went on. Spa We made daily use of the hydrotherapy services at the spa. The sauna and steam room were great. Between the sauna and steam room, you can take a quick shower or use the bucket wash. The cold plunge was a bit cooler than I usually care for at 58 degrees F. There is a dual temperature stone massage walk-through before getting in the hydrotherapy pool with 4 of the high pressure jets, 2 of the flat water falls, a leg bubbler, a mid-section jetted area, two lying bubblers for the back and the wide, pipe based reclining bubbler. The hot tub was comfortably warm and sits in an atrium area. From the hot tub, you would go to the chairs on the patio where you can relax to the sounds of nature (and the occasional vehicle passing by.) Restaurants We at at (Dreams) Pizzeria, the Market Cafe, (Sunscape) Sunnyside and El Patio, (Secrets) Bordeaux and Gohan. Night Life There was relatively little nightlife at the resorts. Where the other resorts we have been to have theaters and nightly programs, the evening entertainment here was generally a live music performance at the rooftop bar at Secrets and/or the dinner shows on the beach.

Loved it
Had a swim out room and it was amazing. I loved snorkeling and seeing the fish and also the pelican. The iguanas were all over and huge. If you have a swim out room, I suggest taking damp rid to keep the moisture levels down. Also, they did not have a swim out with two beds available, however, the sofa opens and is very comfortable.

Amazing!
Best vacation destination. Love this resort and the staff members. Rooms, food, pools, spa, and overall experience exceeded my expectations. Best snorkeling and swimming just steps from your room. Would love to repeat this entire vacation.

Great Vacation
The resort was good. Pool and beach are awesome. Staff is great. The buffet was good. The pizzeria was great. The bars were excellent and prompt. Our room was awesome and housekeeping was great. We enjoyed our stay. I would stay away from the tours that turn into selling you a membership.

High quality food/drink and service
This was a fantastic trip with high quality food, drink, and service. Luz and Raul were particularly great. Even though there were many guests, we were always made to feel special. Having access to three resorts along a beautiful coastline was amazing and there were many available activities on and off the resort. Overall, I would highly recommend!!
