    Dreams Dominicus is the meaning of paradise Crisel,Loret,Edwin at preferred they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome Rudy Ronelky at the beach great service Benjamin and Barbara at Himitsu great customer service I wish I got everyone’s names because there’s a lot of staff names that should be mentioned for their great customer service

    Very good experience

    We love the experience at Dreams Dominicus La Romana especially the entretainment team. They are amazing, specially Nicky Minaj, Pockemon, Chicken Boy and Rafi. Simply the best entertainers ever. The food and drinks are good. I think the hotel only needs more green and shadow areas.

    Madelin is a wedding angel!

    We had our wedding at Dreams Dominicus La Romana and truly couldn't have asked for a better coordinator than Madelin. From the moment we arrived, she was there- every step of the way. I honestly don't know how she does it, but she made the entire process feel effortless. She handled every. single. thing. with professionalism, calm energy, and such a warm, kind personality. As a bride, I felt completely at ease knowing she was in charge. I never had to stress or double-check anything- Madelin had it all under control, and everything came together more beautifully than I could've imagined. She made our day feel magical, and our guests were just as impressed with how seamless everything was. If you're planning a destination wedding at Dreams, as for Madelin! She's a gem, and I'm endlessly grateful for everything she did to make our day unforgettable. Thank you, Madelin! ❤️

    Disappointing Stay

    We visited Dreams La Romana (formerly Hilton La Romana) in July 2025 as a family of four. This was our second time at the resort — we had a great experience in 2021 and were excited to return. Unfortunately, this time around was a big disappointment. The beach is beautiful, and we were lucky with the weather (despite a forecast of daily rain, we had sunshine almost every day). Also, there was very little seaweed, which was great. Sadly, that’s where the positives end. The biggest problem was the bees — they were everywhere. At the beach, pool, and especially around food and drinks. The coffee/snack bar had bees flying inside the glass display cases, crawling on pastries and snacks — it was very unsanitary. Our kids were constantly on edge and didn’t feel safe. They refused to eat ice cream outside because of the bees, so we had to take it back to our room just so they could enjoy it in peace. We complained several times but nothing was done. The resort feels run down and poorly maintained. Beach loungers were old and some broken. The beach itself is uneven, which makes it easy to trip — not ideal with kids. There is almost no shade, and even by 7 a.m., most shaded chairs were taken. Staff actually moved our belongings from a chair while we were in the ocean to give it to someone else. The beach was not cleaned regularly, with plastic cups and plates left behind attracting even more bees. The food was just okay, and the service was slow and inattentive. At the Italian restaurant, we had to ask multiple times just to get water. Buffet furniture was old and wobbly. Staff at the beach fruit stand were unhelpful and rude — we were told to wait even when food was ready, or were limited in how much we could take. The whole atmosphere felt like staff didn’t want to be there. Our room had a large roach one day. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable and even with extra padding it didn’t help. Despite being approved for late checkout, we were locked out of our room early and had to go to the front desk just to retrieve our bags. Finally, the Playa sales staff were constantly trying to get us to attend a presentation. They were stationed all over the resort and very pushy. It took away from the vacation vibe — we were literally trying to avoid parts of the lobby and buffet entrances just to not be approached. We were hoping for another great family vacation, but left feeling frustrated and stressed. The resort seems to have declined significantly since our last visit. We would not return and unfortunately cannot recommend it to other families at this time.
