The location is good, pretty hotel With a nice beach but that is all that this place has to offer. Internet never worked properly, food wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either, I’m not entirely sure if was the food or what but many people got sick, including me and a couple of friends also speaking to other guests they got sick as well (no need to give more details on this everyone knows how a food poisoning sickness feels like). Also the service wasn’t good you pay for a premium experience that never felt like it. Also the family suite is located in the other side of the road (many rooms directed to the road) and you need to cross a main road using a tunnel or via golf kart because is pretty far off the beach an main hotel facilities.

From the moment we arrived at Dreams Dominicus La Romana, we felt welcomed and cared for. We were warmly greeted at the Preferred Guest reception, where the staff explained everything about the resort, gave clear directions, and shared the QR code for activities. Our concierge, Kissairy, then whisked us away to our room. We were blown away—our family suite was beautiful, spacious, and had a great view. As we explored the resort and headed to the beach, we met Luis from Amstar, who helped us understand excursion options and book an incredible family day trip to La Hacienda. The excursion ended up being one of the highlights of our trip—fun, exciting, and memorable for everyone. The resort’s food and drinks were some of the best we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. We enjoyed: • Flying Fish for breakfast • Himitsu for a lively hibachi experience • Seaside Grill, where we had amazing steaks (special thanks to Yason, our favorite waiter) • World Café, which truly had something for everyone • The Preferred Club buffet on the beach • Excellent pizza at La Trattoria The overall vibe of the resort was relaxed, family-friendly, and sprinkled with touches of luxury. We also want to recognize Samil, our bellhop, who was fantastic. He picked up our bags exactly on time and made the wait for Amstar enjoyable with friendly conversation and great service—such a helpful and kind way to end our stay. Another standout staff member was Ray, our favorite bartender at the Preferred Club beach. He treated us like family, going out of his way to find Corona for us and keeping our kids stocked with frozen lemonades all day long. At Scuba Caribe, we were equally impressed—the staff there were welcoming and attentive every single day. We rented paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear multiple times and always had a wonderful experience. We visited the spa as well, and the whole family enjoyed relaxing massages. Evenings were also fun—we enjoyed the pool table in the nightclub and appreciated the kids’ club for our 9- and 12-year-olds. The beach was clean, the water was beautiful, and the entire resort was well maintained. Overall, this was a fantastic family vacation. Dreams Dominicus La Romana exceeded our expectations in every category—service, food, activities, and atmosphere. We would absolutely return!

Would go again to Dreams La Romano. Will warn you though that if you are American, not many of the staff speak good English. Also, unless you willing to upgrade (pay) for "preferred" status, you many feel like a bit of a 2nd or lower class citizen. They actually had staff working as guards to forbid you going to certain parts of the beach. Besides that though, a fantastic area and a great beach. Clear water as far as you can see and nice soft sand to walk on. Hotel is nice but can be a bit noisy if you like to hit the sack early. Shows (start 9:30) and loud music can be heard throughout the resort. But if you're a beach person, this area of the DR cannot be beat.

AMAZING stay at Dreams Dominicus La Romana
I had the most AMAZING time at this resort! Yoga on the pier each morning was an incredible experience that reset my soul entirely. The food kept getting more and more amazing with each restaurant I tried and I loved having Scuba Caribe on the resort property for snorkel, paddleboard gear and excursions. The entertainment team was second to none. Yahiandra, Nany, Griselda, Adriána, Niki M, Yasmín, Gasolina, Chimuky, Yember, Beby, Osito, Anyelo, Bubu, and Blacky kept something fun happening every hour of every day. Ruddy and Axcel made sure I had activities planned out every day and keep me moving. I am definitely going back. The resort itself is stunning and the double decker day beds on the Preferred Club side are a real treat. 5 stars isn’t enough, they get 10 from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
