Dec 23, 2025An unforgettable experience at Dreams Dominicus La Romana
I had the most beautiful experience at Dreams Dominicus La Romana last week. The resort is absolutely stunning—immaculately clean, very well organized, and filled with kind, welcoming, and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. The setup and design of the resort are gorgeous. The beach and pools are truly magnificent—clean, calm, and incredibly relaxing. The ocean water was crystal clear with gentle waves, making it perfect for swimming and enjoying the scenery. The food was outstanding. The buffet offered an incredible variety: pastas, pizzas, different types of meats, fresh soups daily, salad bars, and a wide selection of desserts. There were also great options for kids. Each day featured different themes such as Mexican, Dominican, Italian, Asian cuisine. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. In addition to the buffet, the resort offers several à la carte restaurants for dinner, including Italian, Asian, French, and American cuisine. Every night we chose a different restaurant, and each one was wonderful with great food and excellent service. One night, to celebrate our anniversary, we enjoyed a private dinner on the beach. The setup was absolutely beautiful, romantic, and peaceful, and the service was truly outstanding—an unforgettable experience. A very special thank you to the entertainment team (the Medallion)—they were absolutely amazing, friendly, energetic, and always ready to help. Every night there was entertainment, and they truly made the experience even more special. Special thanks to Chicken, Jay, Champion, Nikki, Happy Boy, Mello, Mini Cooper, Brian, Baby, Guppy, Blaky, and the entire team—you are all incredible. I spent a week here with my husband while teaching through Fitness Vacation Exchange, which gave me the opportunity to teach morning stretch and total body flow classes in a beautiful gazebo by the ocean. It was such a magical setting to teach and connect with people from all over the world. The diversity of guests made the experience even more enriching. This was honestly one of my favorite resorts I’ve visited. I highly recommend Dreams Dominicus for families, couples, and solo travelers—truly for all ages. I left with deep gratitude and wonderful memories, and I cannot wait to return.

Coming back here again!
Brought my two teenagers, we had a great time. I would suggest upgrading to the Preferred Club - you get your own pool area, beach area, and restaurant. But either way, this is a great resort. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable beach, lots of music and entertainment. Good food and drinks. We are booking our next trip now and we just got home!

Hats off to Aida Ramos, Chef Concierge
Our stay at Dreams Dominicus La Romana Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to Aida, the Chief Concierge. Aida is the true definition of professionalism and genuine hospitality. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect—always attentive, responsive, and incredibly kind. Her leadership clearly reflects in the outstanding level of service provided by the entire concierge team. Thanks to Aida’s dedication, our vacation was smooth, relaxing, and truly memorable. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and supported by an exceptional staff. 5/5 stars – Highly recommended! Special thanks to Aida, Chief Concierge, for making our experience unforgettable. Dec 22, 2025For the hundredth time no I don't want a spa massage
Dreams Dominicus La Romana - review As a family we stayed at Dreams Dominicus La Romana in November 2025 for two weeks. The check-in process was good. We had a preferred club room in block 49 on the 4th floor. First impressions of the hotel and our room were good. Breakfast was usually in Flying fish, this was never busy and could always get a table. The staff were very friendly. The toast machine needs replacing and why is there no real fruit juice? The preferred club pool was never busy and was always possible to get a sunbed. The problem was that you are next to the road past the front of the hotel and there is constant traffic noise. Do not have dinner at the preferred beach as the food was overcooked and awful. We were not convinced that upgrading to preferred cub was worth it. One benefit was that we could get sunbeds by the pool. The buffet had lots of choice, even ice-cream, but most of the food was cold, and none of it is covered. We only ate here a couple of times. Was easy to get a table. The al-a-carte restaurants are all great the first time you eat in them, but when returning for a second (or third) time and facing the same menu become disappointing. The service in some of the al-a-carte's is very slow. The French is probably the slowest. One of the restaurants (I forget which, the French maybe) lists jacket potato and French fries on the menu. This is wrong. You will only receive a tiny jacket potato. Also, some of the portions are so small that you will need to go into the buffet once you have finished. Warning: if you eat at the barefoot grill do not have the burger. It is not cooked properly. This will make you very ill. We used to alternate pool days with beach days. The sandy beach looks lovely. One section of the beech is reserved for preferred club guests. There was a sign saying that sunbeds were not allowed to be reserved but no one is enforcing this rule so it was nearly impossible to get a sunbed on the beach as people were claiming them at 6am in the morning by leaving their towels on them, then not turning up until the middle of the afternoon. I am sure that non-preferred club people are claiming sunbeds as no one checks. The sunbeds are too close together and there are too many sun shades meaning that nearly the whole beach area is in the shade. Then there is very loud music playing all day so you will not be able to relax. Coco café it would be nice if this served ice-cream. I would like to know who has given the authority for people to go round and ask (multiple time as day) "would I like a spa massage?" This person needs to be fired. If I want a spa massage then I will go and find someone. I don't need to be constantly annoyed. This practice needs to stop immediately. Then the tat market stall sellers who refused to take no for an answer. There is just no need for this. Pros: Staff in the restaurants are wonderful Food in the al-a-carte restaurants is very good. Portion sizes are on the small side though. The preferred club pool was relaxing unfortunately it was very close to the road. The evening shows are good. I recommend the water and fire show. We missed the magic show as it rained and was held in the lobby bar. Don't arrive at the scheduled start time as this is when the entertainment team embarrassing members of the audience. Just not needed. Cons: Why isn't Flying Fish open in the evening for dinner? The food left out in the preferred club lounge generally looked awful and you had no idea how long it had been out. Not sure there is any benefit to getting premium spirits. Why do the bars play such loud music? There is no need. Traffic noise from the preferred pool. Daily harassment from the spa idiots asking if you wanted a spa massage. Smoking is allowed everywhere. There are even people smoking in the pool at the swim up bar. Preferred beach sunbed are being reserved before 6am. This is not being policed. Anyone can claim them. We did have a good time but it could have been so much better.
