Just came back last night from an 8-day stressful vacation at this resort, and I NEVER want to go back! The whole week was a nightmare inside the bathroom of my deluxe swim-up room, which was supposedly an upgraded Preferred Club. The bathroom was extremely outdated, which wouldn’t have been an issue if it had been kept clean—but it was filthy. A spider web was hanging from the bathroom light, and the bigger problem was that the room was infested with small flies from the very first day we arrived. I couldn’t rest all night! We asked our concierge to change rooms, but it never happened. During our stay, I saw COCKROACHES and MILLIPEDES in the bathroom—I was frozen in shock! This was the first time in my life I’ve seen bugs and insects inside a so-called 5-star resort room. On top of that, the door knobs were sticky, and I had to wipe them down every time. This place should be investigated! It is NOT 5 stars—it’s more like a 2-star motel. Eight days of pure nightmare. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing was truly good—just edible. Service at the FLYING FISH restaurant was unbelievably TERRIBLE. The restaurant is far from the others and the beach, and although it was almost empty, the staff couldn’t even bring a simple drink (a Sprite) from the time we sat down until we left. My husband asked twice, and still nothing. Including us, only three tables were occupied. No wonder we never went back! The beach was the only nice part—clean, no seaweed. However, this is a beach resort, and they should provide floating devices for guests to enjoy. Instead, we were told to buy them because they didn’t have any. I have NEVER had this problem at any other resort in my life! I was completely FOOLED by good reviews. I don’t know who left them, but based on my experience, believe the negative reviews before deciding to go to Dreams Dominicus La Romana. This place isn’t a dream—it’s a NIGHTMARE. I will never go back, and I highly recommend that you DO NOT GO to this resort. This was my first and last time here, and I wish I could reverse it. This is NOT a 5-star resort—it’s a 2-star at best.

This hotel is truly exceptional. The layout is beautiful, the rooms are well maintained and spotless, and the staff is simply wonderful — always smiling and ready to help. There is a wide variety of food options, all delicious, and the beach is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this hotel and I can’t wait to return with my family very soon.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana is best place to go with family and especially with toddlers.
Top resort from all Dreams resorts we visited so far. Best preferred club staff and TOP concierge . Preferred Club is essential to go with smaller kids and toddlers. Great food and drinks quality. More english talking staff then any other hotel which is very helpful. One of the greatest beaches in DR.

Great Vacation
Me and my wife getting back to this place more often than i liked to because i like to go different places. The reason we coming back is because they have one of the best beaches you can find. good, friendly hard-working people. Setup is perfect for us, you don't have to walk anywhere if you don't want to, always you can find the food you like it. overall, we always had great experience. Prices is in my opinion reasonable for this resort. Must mention this time few exceptional people who really did more than expected for us : our Butlers: Erick and Carlos Preferred Club Restaurant: Aldwin Beach guys: Nelson and Rudy Overall, we felt welcomed, and everybody is trying to do their best so we can have best possible experience ! Thank you for hospitality !
