Great experience stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dreams Onyx was an incredible experience and was a perfect 4 day vacation. I was there for my son’s wedding but I would go again for just a vacation based on my experience. I would encourage anyone to go and experience this slice of heaven in Punta Cana DR

Good times at Dreams Onyx
We stayed at Dreams Onyx for 12 nights in April and has a great time. Beach was very clean and the sea was beautiful. Pools and general maintenance of the building are kept to a high standard. The food choices were in general very good, although sometimes we did have trouble getting a table at some of the restaurants. We spoke to the concierge service and they helped us make some reservations. The entertainment was very good and the entertainment staff were engaging and friendly. Two entertainment staff in particular (Chanelin and Deborah) made my daughter feel so special and made sure she had the best holiday when joining in the activities. Thank you! All in all, a great holiday!

Do not recommend, poor service for the price
Terrible experience, will not return to this resort. Check in was a disaster, did not get my roon until 2 hours later than check in time, got a rash while on vacation, poor service, entertainment was less than expected. Do not recommend this resort.

A far cry from a 5 star!
"Dreams Onyx Resort is a far cry from the 5-star experience we were expecting. While the rooms were nice, the rest of our stay was a disaster. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was a letdown. The staff member seemed more interested in counting down the minutes until her 3-day break than welcoming us to the resort. No warm smile, no friendly greeting - just a monotone drone about her upcoming time off The grounds themselves are not exactly 5-star material. They lack the polish and attention to detail that we'd expect from a resort of this caliber. The staff's behavior throughout our stay was consistently rude and disrespectful. One particularly egregious incident involved the chef yelling at my wife because he didn't understand her order. When I tried to address the issue with the manager, the chef jumped in my face. Unbelievable. The food at the main buffet was subpar. Cold, congealed dishes that looked like they'd been sitting out for hours. It was like they were phoning it in. Given the numerous issues we encountered, it's hard to see how Dreams Onyx Resort justifies its 5-star rating. If I had to give it a rating, I'd say it's more like 2 stars - and that's solely because of the beach. Unless they seriously revamp their service and amenities, I'd advise others to steer clear."

Great Family Resort
We had a fantastic family trip with our teens. The two main pools are great, though we didn't spend too much time at the splash park, the pool volleyball in the main pool was the highlight for our kids (and many other kids also travelling). We spent sometime at the preferred family pool, the construction and size of the pool left a bit to be desired, and the blender at the bar was broken so we didn't stay long at that pool. If you'd like a spot in the shade at the main pool, be prepared to wake-up by 7:30am as many chairs are taken very early and there doesn't seem to be a 1 hour rule at this resort for holding chairs. We found the food choices to be fantastic, the buffet was a big hit with the kids and my wife and I loved the Italian restaurant. The cook at the crepe station every day was extremely friendly and the crepes were a daily favourite. Franklin the waiter was one of the best we've had at both the preferred breakfast restaurant as well as The Blue Water Grill. We had a successful fishing charter and the butler Francisco was very accommodating in organizing our Mahi-mahi to be cooked at the Blue Water Grill. The chef went out of his way to prepare the fish in multiple ways and make it an absolute delight to eat. It was our first time having a butler and Francisco was able fulfill all requests we had for him. From the Hibachi reservations, organizing the fish cook and organizing our checkout and departure from the resort. He made everything painless. Karina was our UVC member representative and was accommodating and super friendly. We were thrilled that she was able to get us adjoining rooms for our kids on our second night at the resort. We will definitely be coming back!
