Dec 31, 2025A real treat near Playa Mujeres
Had a great time at this resort with my family! I'll start with the positives The staff. Wow. They are absolutely fantastic and became friends with them very quickly. Most were very attentive and smiled when they talked to you while they did their job. My special shoutouts where Enrique, Daniel, Cesar and Gabriela at the "La Plaza" bar. These guys always made sure our drinks were on point and were quick to help us out. The bartender Oscar, who served us at the beach and at the Rooftop Preferred Club bar, remembered by order from the first day and was always kind and helpful. And lastly, the gentleman in the picture I attached. I forgot his name(I think it was VICTOR) but he was amazing! Everytime we went to the beach, he would make sure there were seats for my wife and kids, checked how we were doing and even offered to clean my sunglasses because I always got them covered in salt residue from the ocean lol. He was exceptional and I always looked forward to seeing him during our daily beach visits. The food. The breakfast buffet was great! Good selection and I generally stuck with the Mexican cuisine but I had no complaints from the rest of my party about the rest of it. A La Carte restaurants were good, I enjoyed all the meals I had. Book in advance on the Hyatt app when you check-in. We didn't have a hard time finding dinner reservations but certain ones do get full faster. The hibachi experience was a lot of fun but you get a LOT of food so make sure everyone has their appetite, otherwise it's not worth it. The coffee bar was a lovely morning spot and it had a good carb offering Downsides. It gets very windy at that resort. And for whatever reason, the kids water area is in a shaded area with winds hitting it which made it not great for smaller kids to enjoy the water park. The property is all closed together, which is nice if you have babies and need to jet back to your room quickly but for me, it reminded me too much of a luxury condo rather than a resort in Mexico. Guess I'm used to places in Tulum. The other thing is that areas of the resort will suddenly not be available to use due to an event or a function. I get that weddings and events are popular at these spots, but that shouldn't be at the detriment of other guests. Otherwise, this resort was reasonably priced and fantastic service. I would recommend getting the preferred club just for the access to the rooftop alone. Restaurant and the infinite pool there are amazing.

Dec 31, 2025Wonderful Wedding Experience MINUS ADVENTURE PHOTOS!
This is a follow up review to specifically address the poor customer service and product delivery of the photo company associated with the Dreams Resort. To be clear, I wrote an initial review of our entire experience following our dream wedding in September. This follow up review specifically addresses the photography company that you are required to use if you purchase a wedding package. Outside of the photography company, everything else was great, including the videography. The photographer at the wedding was good. He took plenty of photos, both set up and candid. I did not feel that there was much creativity behind the lense, but still the photos were just fine. The major frustrations started when we could not get a hold of anyone when we came home. They do not communicate with you, outside of collecting payment, of course. We have had to refer back to our wedding planner (she is amazing) to see if she could get in touch with the photograghy company because they do not respond to emails and you cannot get them to answer the phone. It has been 16 weeks since our wedding, 11 weeks since we selected our photographs and still no photo album. We were promised (after an "apology for the delay") that the album would be sent on Dec. 22nd and we never received tracking information, an email confirmation, nor any communication that it actually was sent. It is Dec. 31st and still no photo album. It is very disappointing that I have to write this review because everything else was so wonderful. Dreams, this photography company is hurting your reputation. :(

Watch the Vacation Club sales, they are not trustworthy. Very windy, pool was always cold. Won’t be going back. Shows are weird but you can see that they are trying. Don’t give a beach bag for preferred club. Shower was nice. Food was ok but you learn very quickly that this is a Four Diamond which is very different from their Five Diamond. It was a very different experience.

Perfect surfing experience in Cancun
Our surf instructor Zamir and Ttio were incredibly kind and patient. He explained everything clearly and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Thanks to him, we had so much fun and felt safe the entire time. Highly recommended for anyone trying surfing in Cancun!
