Exceptional Service & Personal Touch Make This Resort Shine
This was an amazing experience! This small resort does a wonderful job of making you feel cared for as an individual. The food was outstanding for the most part—while there were a couple of themed nights I would have skipped, the other meals more than made up for it. The staff truly made this trip memorable. Jose is an exceptional bartender, Oscar provided outstanding service at every meal, and Rodger made me feel like royalty during my snorkeling experience. Saul ensured we had wonderful excursions, and I would highly recommend the experience, especially if you enjoy diving.

Awesome Experience! Definitely would go back!
My husband and I came to this resort for our 26-yr anniversary. We usually cruise but decided to stay in Cozumel for a week since we love it so much. We did the All-Inclusive Elite Pkg which was great! Basically, everything was included except Lobster, and cowboy steak. I did not even see a cowboy steak on the menu. The food was great, they have a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner but you can ask for the menu. We would always ask for bottled water and soda or beer to bring back to the room. FYI you can ask for a bucket, and you will get 6 of whatever to bring to the room or whatever. We always asked for the menu and even did the buffet for certain things as well. There is fantastic snorkeling right from the hotel, and you can buy excursions at the hotel, and they pick you up from the dock there. We also rented a car from there and was very simple. Pick the car up from out front and leave out front. I think it was $100 for 24 hrs. We rented on Sunday since there are no ships that come in, so we figured traffic would be lighter, which it was. We had the once bedroom suite, was very roomy. This room has two balconies divided by a wall, one off the living room, and one off of the bedroom. Has a vanity area with one sink, then a shower and toilet area divided by doors to each one. There was a jacuzzi tub off of the bedroom with a sink and large mirror as well. We did not use it though. Room has kitchen furnished with a coffee pot, toaster, microwave, oven and fridge. Also comes with cooking utensils and dinner wear. Room service we did not use, we just sat out our garbage if we had food in it and asked for TP and clean towels. Staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate all your needs. There was a store across the street, for all your needs- has everything. There is also a little store attached to the hotel that has many things you may need. My husband did to many Tequila Shots and needed some Tylenol, so that came in handy. Some reviews said it gets busy on port days, one day we had 4 ships in our area, and it was not too bad. Plenty of chairs and staff to accommodate, and it was kinds nice to have others there, as you can see from my photos it was not too busy, although we did go in October. It only rained one night, and the day we left so we lucked out. It was very very HUMID though. They were fixing up some things, which is needed. But they tried to keep the noise down from I think around 10am-5pm. Which we were not in the room that much, so it did not bother us. But they did offer to move us to another area. We declined. If you are looking for somewhere nice and quiet, near shops and restaurants, close to town and great snorkeling- this is the spot!!! Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Home away from Home!!!
We had an awesome 2 weeks at El Cid in January 2025! From Rocia , who patiently helped me book to arriving. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The wait staff were all attentive, Ruby and Nicolas seemed to know exactly what we needed as soon as we sat down!🤣 The food is spot on! Our room was always very clean. Roger the activity director kept us entertained. Everyone made us feel welcome, like coming home. …. We have travelled all though the Caribbean and been back to the Island of Cozumel a number of times. This is the first time we will be returning to the same resort! Thank you to ISACC for helping me book for 2026! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!😁

Another great stay - already planning our next trip!
Just returned after another wonderful week at El Cid. As with our first trip in April, everything was perfect. The staff, the facilities, and the food were excellent. We were upgraded to a one bedroom, ocean view suite and it was the best room ever. Great AC, shower, bed, and balcony. All of the wait staff were helpful and attentive. Want to give a special shout-out to Armando, the bell boy, who was so helpful and friendly, always greeting us with a smile.

La Ceiba; Fix the beach safety entrance!
Fourth year in a row to go there. Booked all inclusive four day dive package. Upgraded to a suite when there and the suite is very nice. But their regular rooms are fine also. They have a newer dining room so if the insects get bad during dinner, the air conditioned dining room is opened. The only real complaint is that the hotel just will not put a stair step type entrance/exit from the pier. This is really a safety issue. Going in the water from the beach type entrance can be dangerous if there is any surge or waves. I have no doubt that guests have been injured and tossed around when using that entrance. I have seen that first hand. As a diver it is not easy at times to use that entrance. Going in from the pier with a stair step entrance would solve that problem completely for swimmers, snorkelers, and divers. I have discussed this issue three times with the hotel manager, but nothing has been done. Maybe the head corporation just does not want to spend any money. But comparing the cost of the two newer elevators, new dining room and other constructions, that cost would be a very minimal. In other words, they are ignoring a safety fix and and anyone going there should voice their concern. Concerning the dive operation, this time the shop's dive boat was out of order and I was put on another dive operations boat. But it was okay. would I go a fifth year in a row? Fixing the above problem would probably have to happen first.
