Very nice attention in all the hotel. Nice pool and gym. Breakfast is outstanding. Staff is very polite and professional Especially Carolyn and Jacinto at the lounge. Great hotel and great stay

Excellent hotel
This hotel is secluded in the middle of Santo Domingo. Even though the hotel is old, it has a beautiful lobby and the rooms are totally renovated with all new features. I recommend you book the room with breakfast as it has plenty of nice choices. The pool is a good size with an outside bar near by. There are several restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Be careful because a couple of them are tourists traps.

Amazing stays
Was an amazing days, and an incredible service, Wilmer help me so much with the stays. The room clean, the breakfast as always impeccable, in my opinion El embajador is one of the best hotel in Santo Domingo. And the garden beautiful, the nature is in the heart of the city.

Gorgeous hotel with top notch service
I had the pleasure of staying at El Embajador for a two night solo trip. The hotel itself is gorgeous. It’s got an old school, elegant atmosphere but the amenities are thoroughly modern. I had a junior executive suite and it was very nicely decorated and spacious. The finishes were very high end. I found a basket of fruit and a large water in my room shortly after I arrived. They also do complimentary turndown service which was very nice. My room rate included breakfast and it was good. Lots of variety. I used the pool a few times and it was very nice and serene. The loungers had terry cloth covered cushions that were very comfortable. You can get free towels in the spa. I had to work one day during my trip and the desk and chair in the room were comfortable. I also did some work while sitting at Las Cotorras Bar and it was very pleasant. The service was excellent. Some of the best hotel service I’ve seen anywhere. I had an issue on my last night where my shower drain got clogged and water flooded the bathroom. I called the front desk and they had a maintenance person there within 15 mins. I had laid out all the towels that were available to sop up the mess but it was still really bad. I had to run to a dinner party and I left $200 DOP for housekeeping and by the time I got back a few hours later, the mess was totally cleaned up and all the towels were replaced. And again about the service: everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional. From the front desk staff to the bellmen, servers, and maintenance. My family and I are planning a trip in November and I can’t wait to come back.
