Amazing holiday and hotel
This hotel was amazing. We travelled as a group of friends and we all were impressed with the quality of the rooms, grounds and the friendly staff. It’s a short 10 minutes walk into the Fira with all its lovely restaurants and bars. Lots of cheap take away options as well . The view outside the hotel is beautiful but the road is busy , this will not effect your experience in the hotel. The rooms are only 2 storey and spread across the hotel grounds with lots of pools . There are also two restaurants with we used mainly for breakfast. The breakfast was the same each day but there was lots of variety and it tasted great. Santorini is a beautiful place and this hotel was amazing. You can travel around the island for 2 and a half euros a journey . You must see Oi it’s was beautiful to walk around, it gets busy when the cruise ships are in but we went early.

Good location - has potential.
Average hotel. Room had 2 side by side twin beds - boo. Water isnt drinkable- they give you 2 .5L bottles - the rest is up to you to buy. Rooms are clean, however could use a fresh coat of paint - atleast in our room. Wifi is an open - unsecured network thst is spotty, very slow and drops frequently. Many pools which make it great - not overcrowded. Bar at the main pool has a good selection of cocktails and drinks. Also a decent food selection- for a hotel. However the service on our first day wasnt great - waited over 5 minutes to get served...not busy but the 2 wait staff just stared at us. I went to one and asked if it was table service or bar only - she said tabel and said will bring menus- which she did - and things were better from there.

It’s not exactly relaxing…..
The hotel is nice, it is spread over a large area and the staff are really good. The major problem which is NOT the hotel’s fault at all is the noise into the early hours. The hotel attracts a lot of young people who stay up all night (not unexpected for young people) but it just means the idea of a relaxing holiday was torpedoed for the week. I am glad to be going home for work and a bit peace. Not sure the hotel can do anything about it other than regular security patrols which we never saw. Rooms are ok, beds are comfortable. Breakfast average.

Lovely hotel
This is a late review. Me and my partner stayed at El Greco Resort last year August for a week. We had a wonderful time we didn’t want to leave. The hotel is in a great location to Fira which is excellent throughout the whole day. There’s lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is clean and modern. There’s many pool areas around the hotel. On some days we struggled to get beds by the bigger pool areas but there was space at other ones. The only let down I’d say is the breakfast. I was expecting the breakfast to be really good. It was average, my partner who is a vegetarian struggled to find things and only had breakfast the first morning. Overall it’s a lovely hotel if I was to return to Santorini I’d stay here again.

40th Wedding Anniversary stay - perfect
We spent a week at the El Greco and had the most amazing time. The resort is lovely with lots of pool options and plenty of beds. The staff were so lovely during our stay and made our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration so special. They are a credit to the hotel and we would certainly return. Perfect!
