Recommend avoiding if you’re celebrating a special occasion
Made a reservation for an ocean view corner suite but found it very confusing which rooms in which towers were allocated to this category. Reached out for help twice via the phone and each time got abruptly dismissed and told it’s all up to what’s available at checkin. Reached out to the front office manager and general manager asking for additional guidance and help with several room questions but never got an answer. Ended up cancelling the reservation at the last minute because the hotel management and staff wouldn’t respond. Eventually both wrote back a nice “form letter” of apology saying my email was lost but did absolutely nothing to re-accommodate us or help make our reservation or stay positive. They simply don’t care. As a brand loyal Hilton Diamond member and local Kamaaina, we were very disappointed with this property and specifically the management team here. If you’re celebrating an anniversary or special occasion like we were and would like to be treated with dignity and respect, then highly recommend choosing another property in Waikiki. If you don’t care about your stay and don’t care about any personal service and enjoy form letters of apology that don’t address or help fix your problem then this may be the perfect hotel for you. Very disappointed and highly recommend avoiding this property!

Great Staff, Tired Property, Bad Coffee
So I want to start by saying the staff, especially the front desk and bell staff were amazing. Helpful, friendly, lots of great information, just what you would expect from an Embassy Suites. I had no complaints with the people. However, having paid over a thousand dollars for one night (2 room suite) I expected more from the facility and services offered. First the rooms could really use an update. The furniture, carpet, and paint all seemed a little dull and worn. The carpet in my room was damp and the bathroom was basic at best. The halls and everything seemed like they had not had an upgrade in a good while. Same with the dining area. Breakfast was very good and the omlette was spot on. But my biggest complaint was that, in the only state where they grow coffee in the U.S., at a hotel chain that usually has great coffee readily available, the dining room had a machine that dispensed Nescafe instant coffee! Nasty! To get a decent cup of coffee I had to buy one from the coffee shop on the first floor. Finally, the beach they directed us to did have some overnight residents still sleeping there in the morning so I would recommend walking down to the Outrigger beach if you want to go early. Also you can't get a towel until 9am. All in all it was a very mid-range property and a bit of a letdown after having spent an amazing week on the Big Island. Waikiki is big and kind of tired where it is not trying to be Rodeo Drive (and smells a bit like sewage in a lot of areas) This hotel fits right in. Again, I want to stress, the staff were awesome!

Great stay. Good customer service.
We had a great experience at Embassy Suites Waikīkī. Everyone was friendly and helpful from check-in to housekeeping. The front desk mentioned their card readers were down and the AC was under maintenance, but they handled it well and even gave us chocolates as an apology. As a Diamond member, I appreciated the perks here. We were upgraded to a room with a better view and really liked the complimentary cabana. The location is convenient, close to the beach and central to Waikīkī. Breakfast was good, and the miso soup machine was a nice touch. The bar food was also enjoyable. I just wish there were a few more vegan options. Overall, a comfortable stay with great service.
