Fairmont Mayakoba - Excellent once again
Fairmont Mayakoba is excellent all around place for vacation. Incredible grounds, laid back, relaxing and great food at Brisas restaurant on the beach. This was our second time - highly recommend it. Special shoutout to Dmitri López for being so welcoming to our family and friends!

Tipping communication is unacceptable
We're staying here now actually and the food and service has been great so far but the commutation about gratuities in our all inclusive plan is unacceptable. If you search the reviews on TripAdvisor and other websites, patrons for years have pointed out the lack of transparency an around gratuities being included or not included, on the all-inclusive plan. Again and again, management from this resort posts comments that they'll look into it or do something about it but those responses go back years. The business practice still remains the same. Even if you're paying $1600 a night for the all inclusive plan (which we are) you're presented with a bill, just as you would be at a traditional bar or restaurant. That bill, in bold letters outlines “ gratuities not included.” This practice makes it extremely confusing for individuals and even travel agents representing people that come here. If you look at previous reviews of this resort, there are multiple reviews from people that communicate gratuity is not included. Every single, bill has the same “gratuity is not included.” I emailed the management company and they outlined that gratuity is in fact included. The attachments I posted show a copy of what the receipt looks like in addition to the email communication. I’m a fan of tipping well if the food and the service is spectacular, but the communication from this resort, especially the fact that they are “looking into the gratuity policy,” for the last four years is absolutely unacceptable. This lack of transparency from the resort has made our trip quite frustrating

10/10 experience at Fairmont Mayakoba!
We just returned from a 10-day stay at Fairmont Mayakoba with our family. This was our fourth time at Fairmont Mayakoba and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional – every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The food at every restaurant was outstanding, with so much variety!! The hotel grounds are stunning, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, and the rooms were always spotless and comfortable. A special shoutout to some of the amazing team members who made our stay extra memorable: Grounds driver - Ramon who went above and beyond to make our stay so special!! Boat tour - Noe Pool staff - Alphonso, Fernando, Miguel and Rodolfo Beach bar - Alberto Beach staff - Hugo Cleaning staff - Lilianna Concierge - Brenda and Fabian Hotel transportation - Miguel Spa - Lua and Dayana Restaurants: Hix Bar and Lobby Lounge - Oscar, David and Emilio Bassano - Carlos Gaia - Thonatiou Tauro - German La Laguna - Adalberto Brisas - Oasis Thank you so much to everyone at Fairmont Mayakoba for making our family vacation so perfect. We love it here and we will absolutely be back next year!!! Jo-Ann and family

The most beautiful resort to date that I’ve stayed at 🤍. It is kept very clean, extremely courteous staff, beautiful rooms with great amenities, and by far the most delicious restaurant there is Tauro! The “cheque” process can be confusing at first to understand when staying all-inclusive, so just make sure to ask a staff member to explain it to you when you first check in. Brought my 2 teenage kids and there was plenty for us to do around the resort, as well as the Tour desk is great at making recommendations for tours you may want to go on. Would come back again, and recommend to anyone thinking about staying at this gorgeous resort!
