Standout Staff and Home away from home
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great stay with standout staff We recently stayed at this all-inclusive resort and overall had a really enjoyable experience. While there were a few areas that could use improvement, the staff truly made this trip special. The food was good — not amazing — but exactly what you’d expect at an all-inclusive. What made every meal memorable was the restaurant staff, who were absolutely phenomenal. Vermon, Jair, and their entire team consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and always made us feel welcome. The premiere bar bartenders, Erik and Hector, were amazing and hands down made the best drinks we had during our stay. Friendly, talented, and fun — they really elevated the experience. Our room was clean, well stocked with towels, and very comfortable. Our housekeeper Bella was wonderful — so friendly and kind, and always made sure we were taken care of. The bellhops greeted us like we were coming home as soon as we arrived, which was such a nice touch. The entertainment staff deserves a huge shoutout. Yzrael, Ruben, and Itzel were upbeat, friendly, and truly made sure guests were having a great time. We especially loved playing pickleball with Yzrael in the mornings — such a fun way to start the day. Cons: • The pool was very cold, and I didn’t get in once. During the cooler months, it really needs to be heated, especially since it’s mostly shaded this time of year. • It was disappointing to see that management has either fired or lost several longtime staff members, some of whom were favorites of ours. In many cases, it didn’t seem like there was a clear reason, which affected the overall atmosphere. • There needs to be hand sanitizer stations throughout the resort and in the restaurants. There was a stomach bug going around while we were there (myself included), and it’s apparently still circulating. Better sanitation options would go a long way. Overall, this resort has amazing staff, a welcoming vibe, and solid amenities. With a few improvements, especially regarding pool temperature, sanitation, and staff retention, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

A nice short stay at GL Solaris
All in all- we enjoyed our 2 day trip extension at GL Solaris. Check-in: A little busy, but we got through. The Room: We enjoyed a beautiful Member room overlooking the sea with a patio, which we truly enjoyed. The Pools: We appreciated the best of both worlds at the two connected properties - the scene at the family pool was boisterous with entertainment throughout the day, and the food options were more varied. The adult pool was more senior and peaceful. In both areas, the chairs were close together and nearly all of them were in use. The Beach: Shade was hard to come by at the beach, but the beach itself was very nice. There wasn’t any wait staff on the beach in the mornings when we were there, which never was an issue for us. Meals: Robust selection at the family side buffet, with a more curated selection on the adult side for breakfast. The service was good everywhere, and the food lacked sophistication but served a broad audience well. Entertainment: nightly entertainment at 8:15 was performed well. Notes to staff- you may not smell the fragrance any longer, but the air freshener in the lobby is overpowering to newcomers. And if a guest is disgruntled, find another place to settle the dispute away from waiting guests. You handled it well- we just didn’t need to see it.

Lovely ocean views and peaceful yoga sessions
Lovely experience and super friendly staff! Woke up to ocean views, unlimited food and drinks, and the best ocean waters of my life. Every morning I did sunrise yoga with Yzrael and it was incredible. He is so peaceful and really knows how to keep our bodies and minds safe and well. It gave me the wellness escape I needed so badly. Great experience!
