My husband & I stayed at the Hilton Puerto Vallarta all inclusive to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a treat!!! From the moment we arrived & Marcos helped us with our luggage & told us about the resort, to our favorite breakfast servers, Juan & Esmeralda to the incredible activities hosted by the bubbly & fun activities squad of Blanca, Yadira, Hugo & Saul it was hands down one of our favorite trips because of the service & friends we made at the resort. I would highly recommend staying here. The rooms are great with a beautiful ocean view, the restaurants serve excellent food, the staff goes beyond & there is so much to do if you want activities. We can’t wait to go back!!

Good experience
Great customer service from Norma, Saul, and Israel from the Villa morning buffet. The waiters and bar attendants are all friendly. The entertainment team, Yadira, Blanca, Hugo are all super friendly, entertaining and really make an amazing effort to create a fun and relaxing environment. They are tops and clearly work very hard everyday to entertain the guests. The life guards are friendly and helpful. Everything from bandaging a broken nail to retrieving my sun hat that I lost while snorkeling. They are helpful and it’s great to k ow they are available. The lady that attends guests who make restaurant reservations in person was not friendly. She was bothered when we showed up at 9 am to add people to our reservation. Even though we spoke to her in Spanish, she was rude. She did not smile and seemed more bothered by our request. The pool needs to be redone ASAP. Too many scrapes on our feet from chipped tiles.

Aug 04, 2025The Good and The Bad from a Travel Agent's Perspective
Hilton Vallarta Riviera is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta. The resort itself is fine but there are a few very good things and some things that could use improvement. The good: Food at all restaurants and buffets were great. It is easy to make a dining reservation as they don't allow you to book further than 26 hours in advance so just sign on the evening before the next day and select your restaurant of choice for the next day. We found availability at all restaurants we wanted throughout the week. For lunch we enjoyed the fresh options provided by the food truck and outdoor service line. The liquor options and drinks were all very good as well. Service is excellent. All servers and staff were very accommodating. The rooms were freshened daily and they made sure to even put more drinks and water in the rooms daily which made it easy to stay hydrated. One of the five rooms had an AC issue but they responded right away. The sand on the beach is soft in front of this resort and the water is a pretty blue and is swimmable. This is not a large resort so getting around was not a problem. The issues: The rooms are a bit strange when it comes to the bathroom. They have the toilet in a glass cage connected to the shower giving little to no privacy so not sure why it even has a door on it and the door itself can be dangerous especially in the night as it is glass (not frosted). The bed was not comfortable and the sheets were really scratchy. They seemed to get better as the week went on but the first few nights it was not easy to move around in the bed. We went with friends and had 4 rooms (kings and queens) and all had back and neck aches from the bed. Although the beach is lovely and soft it is somewhat public so you have local families with coolers, chairs, tables, etc. hanging out all day making it more crowded than I prefer since it wasn't just the hotel guests. they also have this weird overhanging from the resort that the local people sit under to get out of the sun and the overhanging itself doesn't look nice. The resort is mostly open air from the lobby to the restaurants to the bars, etc. The issue with this is not only do you stay in a constant sweat but the mosquitoes were worse there than I have experienced anywhere. The pools were OK but really need to be resurfaced badly. All the cons though wouldn't make me not want to come back if the opportunity arose. Hilton - get new beds and spray your property for mosquitoes regularly and maybe add more fans.

Great Servers Clean Resort
I stayed with my family at the all inclusive Hilton Resort in Puerto Vallarta. The buffet service was great, special thanks to Gorge Rcd, Jorge, and Luis who were excellent servers. The rooms were beautiful. The hotel is very clean. It even has a pleasant aroma. We also got to use their Kayaks. Israel was the one in charge of making sure we were safe and took the time to teach us how to row correctly. He was amazing. The reason I’m giving the Hilton 4 stars is their restaurant reservation system. You can only make reservations 4 people at a time using their special link and we were a group of 6. My family was here for a family reunion and it was hard to accommodate all 24 of us at the same time, due to limited availability on the hotel reservation link. The second reason why this resort is getting 4 stars is due to the shortage on beach/pool towels. In more than 3 occasions we would walk to the pool/beach concierge and were told to come back in 20 minutes for towels. And when we would walk back to check, they were still out. Third reason for 4 stars: their alcoholic beverages were very “watered” down. When when we asked for “double shot of” we could hardly taste the alcohol.

Great time
A very nice hotel in a great location on a great beach Staff was exceptional in creating a beautiful atmosphere with friendly vibes. Some of the many friendly staff were Yadira,Blanca,Hugo,Saul,Juan in the Vela restaurant,and Israel the lifeguard who kindly dove down about 3 meters off shore to retrieve a sun hat that was lost while snorkeling which was also great. I would come back to this hotel.
