The pool needs work to it, it doesn’t have accessibility for the disabled. It’s very difficult to get in and out of , on the side opposite of the bar. I wish it was more of a Mexico experience ( since it’s in Mexico) but it lacks the Mexico atmosphere.

•Check-in was horrible. We waited almost 5 hours to get our room. 1st room we were given, smelt like fresh fish & mildew. No phoneline, obviously we asked for a different room. That room was okay until we woke up to a huge 🪳 roach on our floor!!! The shower head was filthy, disgusting!! •Pool is in bad shape. Tiles are falling, and getting in & out of the pool is very challenging with the steps it currently has. Services at the pool was excellent thanks to Eduardo and Juan, very friendly and attentive, a HUGE THANK YOU to them! •Food, needs improvement, especially at pool side. Hamburgers and hotdogs every day?!? No more tacos or variety. Vela breakfast was OK. The waiters were amazing - Norma, Medadro, and Cesar, kudos to them. Thank you!! ❤️ •My family and I stayed at PV Hilton Resort about 4 years ago (yes, it was Hilton), and we loved it. And that's the reason why we returned this year, but what a disappointment to say the least. Hilton, do better. I understand you're an American hotel, but you're in Mexico!! More mexican food, quality, true mexican food!! Ya ni Fiesta Mexicana tuvieron, que decepción!! Mucha atención a eso, no se olviden que nuestra cultura es hermosa y también tu huéspedes somos Mexicanos no nada mas Americanos. Cuiden ese detalle.

I hope I am remembering their names correctly. We had a team at SUNAN on our last evening there, Friday April 25th, Bryan and Liverie (I hope I got their names right). They were fantastic! They were wonderful the entire evening! The food recommended was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful evening!! Also, Ricardo (again, I hope I got his name right) down at the pool bar on Friday was on it! He was so friendly, and was everywhere all at one time! Great experience!! We were in Bali bed 12 & the guy was just fantastic! You have a wonderful group here!! The people working at the resort make the resort everything that it is!

Nice short getaway
Great short trip for 3 of our friends’ milestone birthdays. Kudos to all the employees of all the restaurants and bars , all were professional, friendly, and accommodating. All our rooms have the ocean view, spacious, and clean. Shout out to Vela’s Esmeralda, Isela, and Pedro for their outstanding service. Thank you for making our stay special, we appreciate you. I highly recommend this all inclusive resort.

The wait staff at Vela did a great job. Thank you to Norma Castillon, Medardo Gil, & Cesar Cardenas for providing great service every morning for breakfast!! The bartender, Javier, at the swim up bar did a great job. All of the wait staff we had at every hotel restaurant and bar did a great job. Food was decent, but nothing spectacular about it. Room service was very very slow. Rooms were not cleaned well until the last night. The tile floors were not swept from Sunday until Thursday the last day. Also the staff go through your room and take pictures the day before you check out. Some in our group were fined for having cigarettes in their room even though they didn’t smoke in the room. Some did smoke outside on their balcony, but that was not in the room.
