    WARNING!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!

WARNING!!!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! DO NOT STAY HERE. It looks like this hotel has not been updated since it was built - 30+ years ago. For our 35th wedding anniversary & my husband's 60th birthday, we booked this hotel through American Express FINE resorts because we've always had great experiences with them. This hotel is NOT a 5 star - at best, a 2 star and only for view & the pools. Upon arrival, the lobby is very impressive but after you look around, you notice FILTH - the floor is dirty, the carpets throughout the hotel are dirty & stained, lobby furniture is beat, doors and walls dirty and beat up, water bottle refill stations are not cleaned and digital messages saying filters require changing are found on most stations and did not change...at least for the 4 days we were there. $57 pp Breakfast is outrageous for mediocre buffet. Tables have plastic woven mats over top that are STICKY. Our room had bugs, the upholstered furniture had disgusting stains, the bathroom had mold. We got locked out of our room at 5am - once they figured out the computer system, the front desk gave us new keys - they didn't work, tried to call the front desk but the phone in our building did not work, so we walked back. Security came & could not get us in. Engineering came & could not get us in. Engineering drilled a hole through door! We got in but could not lock the door! Upon check out, we were told we had balance due to "$55 per day resort fees, plus tax and fees!" When you are charged over $1000 per night, resort fees seem like another money grab. We told front desk about our experience and wanted to talk to a manager. The clerk went back into office and appeared less than a minute later saying "to save time, we are going to waive the $220 balance" - from our $3000+ stay. We were NOT impressed! the manager NEVER came out. II called American Express and told them this resort needed to be removed from their site immediately. I called Hyatt too. The people at the call center listened and then said they will look into it. I've heard nothing back No one really cares. Everyone is working at a C- level.

A great place to relax and unwind

Loved the location, views and the food was excellent. Great place for romance or to bring your children. Great service from start to finish. Fantastic pool system, surfing right off the pool area and goo's snorkeling nearby. We highlybrecvcomend the Grand Hyatt at Poipu and we will be back.

    Pacific Dream Photography

We booked a session with Pacific Dream Photography on site at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Briam, always with a smile, made this session a great adventure and truly loves what he does and cares about you and your interests. Amazing and super fun experience!

Staff is friendly, aware, and helpful!

Our stay was wonderful! We were greeted and checked in, in a friendly and efficient manner. Our luggage and bags were taken from the car, put on a cart and set aside but near us, while we were checked in to our room. Our car was parked for us by the valet but we could have chosen to self park. As soon as we were checked in, the cart was retrieved by a bellman who knew the way to our room. It was so nice to feel taken care of from the moment we arrived. I later requested a microwave for use in our room. It was immediately brought up. Before I even asked, I had help with a high chair for our grandson, and seating at the breakfast buffet one morning . Everyone was great and so helpful!

Even if you can’t afford to stay here…a day pass is well worth it!

We stayed nearby at the Hilton which to our disappointment is under construction! Bought a day pass at the Grand Hyatt for $100 & it was worth every penny! Started the day with their buffet brunch followed by lounging pool side. The pools are amazing! I enjoyed the deep water pool with its ocean view. Bought an inner tube and cruised the lazy river. Enjoyed smoothies & appetizers. Bought tickets to the Luau in the evening. The following night we made a reservation for dinner @ Tidepools. So, even though we were not over night guests, we spent more time here than at our hotel. Beautiful grounds! Totally worth purchasing a day pass!
