This good be a lot better.
Awful. No chaises around the pool. If you are not up at 5 am. No chaises near the beach. Limited room. Way over packed with people. This was supposed to be taken over by Hyatt. What happened. Food 3 out of 5. Construction ongoing when I was there. Nothing Grand about this hotel. Limited amount of room with so many people.

Cancun is an Oasis, too bad this hotel is not
As a AAA member, I thought I'd make use of their Travel Services and book an all inclusive hotel stay for me and my parents, as they wanted to go to Chichen Itza. I thought I could trust AAA with this service, but I was wrong. They connected me to "Pleasant Holidays" travel services and together booked a one week stay at this infernal place. First off, this hotel may have been "hip" during the age of the Golden Girls, but the rooms are dated and old looking. The service here is bad. When checking in, Neftali from the front desk was in a bad mood and fired off that if the bracelets are lost, he would charge us $200 US Dlrs for each lost bracelet. Can you imagine that as your first encounter to any hotel? My father asked why he was so mad? The lines to get food are long and sometimes the hotel closes the buffets while you're making line. In the whole week that I stayed there, the "all inclusive" hotel only provided 1 meal when it should have been 3 per day. That one time I was able to get a meal, I asked for coffee, and the waiter informed me that was not included in the package. Can you imagine that? Stay clear of this hotel, it is a huge disappointment. You figure you're in paradise, but with this "service" it just ruins it. Better to stay in a hotel that is not all inclusive and just get your meals outside with staff that is happy to serve than in this outdated, has-been hotel that's sadly forgotten that a hotel stay should be something relaxing and pleasant, unlike the package that Oasis offers.

Grand oasis Cancun
We are here at grand oasis Cancun now (Nov 10-17). We did not upgrade our bracelets. This resort is decent. I read many bad reviews and thought omg. I literally wanted to switch to a diff vacay spot. BUT …. Rooms: a bit small but do the trick. Food: Tun Kul is a smaller buffet and is just ok. Tatish buffet is the bigger buffet and is decent. Pool: It’s a long pool but chopped up into actions, so u can’t swim from one end to the other. Hotel: there’s 4 hotels and the pyramid in the centre of the 4. There’s rooms there and shows are performed there. The store is there. A lot of walking here and they have no carts to take u around. U walk to everything! I would say, 10 mins to wherever u wanna go within resort. Ocean: we couldn’t go in it as the waves were crazy. They had an amazing fire show last night. There’s a Koi pond u walk by. Hammocks set up in trees. Waterfall sculpture inside pyramid, u can see when taking the elevator. Arcades in the sports bar, free to use! Overall: I’d say 4/5 review 🥰

Worst All inclusive resort I ever visited.
Rooms are outdated, Small space and horrible layout. The bathroom was so small you touched the walls trying to go. You could see in the shower from the bedroom. The room we were in wasn't family friendly if you ask me. I stayed at the Doubletree the night before because of a delayed flight. The room was way bigger. And cost the same we paid to stay there. Food reservations was ridiculous and you could barely find one. Then the buffet options were not good the food was not good nor were the options. Ended up walking down the street or taking Uber to get good food and service. If you want a pleasant vacation thats memorable dont stay here.

Beach and drinks bad, shows and pool great.
The bad: 1. The beach looks nothing like the pics because it is basically washed away. It is neglected with few chairs and tge seaweed has covered it. 2. The drinks taste terrible and do not give you a buzz unless you just drink beer. Good: 1. The shows were fantastic! The singers were as good as any famous ones we know. The acrobatics were amazing. 2. Tatish, the basic buffet restaurant had a good variety of food and the service workers were very good bringing coffee and fruit smoothies. 3. Main pool very beautiful and clean and huge so there was no crowding.
