The room was nice large and very clean. No outside seating area or entertainment at night so stuck in the lobby every night entertainment terrible ,noisy disco every night.sea terrible could not swim in the sea.noisy tractor up and down the beach every day ruined our nice relaxing beach holiday .toilets near outside bar filthy .staff not friendly .a lot of money for a 3 star at best.

Honest review - we have had a lovely 10 day stay at the hotel and overall the experience was positive. The grounds are immaculate, rooms clean, entertainment good and the staff are helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the gym facilities and the daily activities such as cookery classes on the beach which were fun. However there are some areas that in my opinion fall short. Theres no afternoon tea or snacks available in between meals (no crisps, nuts, etc at the bars and no snacks in the mini bar in the rooms either which has always been my experience in every other all inclusive i have stayed at). You can get snack type meals in one restaurant called ‘after time’ which is a depressing American style sports bar with no windows but i waited over an hour for my potato skins by which time i may as well of waited for the main buffet restaurant to open. The food in the main buffet was excellent with a good selection. However the other restaurants that require you to book were average at best. The Argentina steak restaurant was horrendous and i would go as far to say it was the worst meal i have ever eaten (or couldnt eat in this case). The steak was tough as old boots, full of fat, came with abut 7 French fries and the pepper sauce was watering salty sludge. Really really awful poor quality food. We have enjoyed our stay here in mexico but i have had better experiences in all inclusives in barbados, turkey, Egypt, Dominican etc. i wouldn't say grand pavilion was 5 stars

We stayed here for two weeks, and all I can say is it’s a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting with lots of nice walkways and lots of nice touches. However, that’s about as good as it gets, the food variety was awful, the buffets have the same food every day for breakfast, dinner and lunch, none of the food is hot, it’s all cold or luke warm. The a la cartes are a slight improvement, but again, they are all pretty much the same just with a different name. Steak steak and more steak, avoid if you like good food and variety, certainly not 5 star worthy; 3 star at the most for the food.

The Grand Palladium really was a truly amazing resort. The grounds are stunning, filled with lush mexican jungle and a variety of animals roaming around freely in their own habitat. The dining experience here was second to none. Highlights included El Dorado (steakhouse), La Adelita (mexican), Chang Thai (Thai), Sumptuori (Japanese). For breakfast we really enjoyed the buffet at La Hacienda, huge variety of foods but would recommend to have the mexican dishes. Churchills Adults only bar was absolutely amazing, Christian who is the mixologist of the resort and really knowledge in all thinks cocktails. He made excellent drinks for us from the new menu and some custom made drinks as well which made our experience so special. The gym and spa is also not to be missed, as well as Adults only pool. One of the events we enjoyed was the White Party at the Kantenah beach, excellent DJ and then followed by a spectacular fire show. The Mexican Fiesta at Colonial Plaza was also unbelievably fun filled with authentic Mexican food, drinks, dances and games from many regions. Thank you for the lovely memories!

Family select can do one! Ruined the hotel!!!!
Arrival at hotel/ booking in - were asked to upgrade and we had no idea about this prior to booking and certain parts of the hotel only being available to family selection guests who have to pay extra £1000! Restaurants not available to us first night! Pool swim up bar closed day 1, 2 and 3 due to maintenance work which we weren't told about! Husband denied a drink he wanted as we weren't family select! Weren't allowed on a sunlounger by the pool as we weren't family select! Certain restaurants closed due maintenance work! Beach absolutely disgusting full of seaweed that had been there days and no attempt to clean the beach up! Beach could not be sat on and no way you could swim in the sea! Buggy cart refused to take us back to our room because we weren't family select! Unfriendly and rude staff if you didn't tip them! They didn't bother with you if you didn't give them money! Ignored at breakfast, lunch and tea and waited agers for drinks in end had to go up and ask them! One of our rooms not cleaned for 3 days! No clean towels offered and when they did bring some it was 11pm on the night when my sister in law and child were asleep so they were woken up! Weren't allowed to use spa pool by the gym. Spa staff very rude and kicked me out of pool area! Had to buy a day pass to use spa pool! Main pool absolutely boiling hot by afternoon almost like it's heated and felt hot water coming out of it! Definitely not a 5 ⭐ resort more like 2⭐! Never known a hotel like it! Treated like crap if you don't upgrade to the ridiculous family select! The family select needs scrapping! Interestingly one of the pool staff told us they were taking more stuff away from the regular clients each month and giving more stuff to the family select clients! Also spoke to a few unhappy customers including one couple who visited a few years ago and said hotel gone dramatically down hill! I asked to speak to the DIRECTOR twice and got ignored! Hopefully he will see this review and respond instead of the usual copy and paste from the manager - we are sorry about your inconvenience during your stay and your comfort is our upmost priority - blah blah and blah! Not it's not you clearly couldn't give a toss or you would have made my 10 day stay more pleasurable and not caused me upset and stress all of my holiday! 😭😭
